The Coen Brothers Explore the Golden Age of Hollywood w/ Hail, Caesar!

I don't think this is too much of a secret but I spent my academic career in the world of film. And as a film student (I essentially majored in unemployment and minored in minimum wage) I spent a lot of my time watching older movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood.
At first I wasn't into these films. I felt it was a waste of my time since they were "so old". But my mind quickly changed and it's hard for me to watch a contemporary film without thinking about the History of Cinema and where it began.
So, when I found this trailer for Hail, Caesar! I was pleasantly surprised. I love the Coen brothers and mostly everything they've put out and to see them tackle this extraordinary era in Cinema is something I didn't know I needed until now.
There's something really special about the way the Coen brothers craft their stories. They all feel incredibly real but also like little folktales or fables. I'm excited to see how they put their own spin on this era in cinematic history.
I'm not sure if I'm excited about the plot -- which follows Josh Brolin trying to find George Clooney after he gets kidnapped -- exactly, I think I'm more excited about seeing this point in history on the screen.
That was one of the reasons I loved Inside Llewyn Davis so much. They gave me a world within 1960s New York that both felt real and imagined. It was a world I knew that might have existed but it was also one that seemed like it was dreamed up.
I can't wait for this movie to come out just so I can see history through the Coen brothers's lens.
Hail, Caesar! will be in theaters in February 2016.

Woah! I really want to see this. I love the Coen brothers. It's odd, because they're a bit more earthy than this whole thing...I think it'll be a cool switch for them.
