The 5 Strangest Superstition in Sports!
Hello sports fans! It's Friday the 13th! Here are some of the strangest superstitions in sports! Michael Jordan Michael always wore his UNC shorts under his NBA shorts. Thus, he wore longer shorts than his fellow players at that time. In the end however, his fellow players followed suit after the legend. Serena Williams Serena Williams is known for not changing socks once during a tournament. It sucks to wear a pair of socks for more than a day...imagine how it would feel to wear the same socks for an entire tournament! I guess Serena doesn't mind it considering the number of tournaments she has won. Brian Ulracher Brian Ulracher ate two chocolate chip cookies before every game. Maybe that was the secret to his muscular body. I think it'd be fair to call him the "Cookie Monster". Caron Butler Caron Butler was known to be an avid fan of Mountain Dew. He loved the drink so much that he drank before and during every game. During his UNC days, he asked his wife to pick him a 2-L bottle of the green stuff, and drank half of it before the game, and the rest during half-time. In 2007, the Wizards and NBA banned him from drinking it during games so he eventually quit the whole thing in 2009. Moises Alou This one has to be the most f*cked up one out of all of them. Moises Alou used to pee on his own hands to harden them! Should we see that as commitment to the game of baseball or just some pretty weird ass shit? Oh and by the way, don't try to harden your hands by peeing on them ladies and gentlemen, because doctors have confirmed that peeing on your hand doesn't harden them. It actually softens them. @jeff4122 @ButterflyBlu @superiorsl @Starbell808 @DonnaMelton @InPlainSight @jokes @BEAUTYgirlARIEL @David19Flo23 @karencorchado @salahabdalla @Moose892 @BrookieyElba @SamuelRodriguez @ValerieAlissaPa @xitlalicordova1 @AndrewMaldonado @Jovi @Shippudenguy21 @AbdulrahmanSaad @trinityarcangel @thefeels @Link4TW @ChriSingularis @sanazsanaz @WilliamBrown @DannyMoses @ClaySharko @Ravenwing92 @FromBlue2U @TravisBeck @LemissaNicole @BossDominata @gatorchick96 @MatthewBoughton @MarcusJiles @BrandonMcNeil @MalikLawary @KyleBerke @manbungo2000 @DerekGumtow @havic @Straightshooter @PhilAnthony @Kirooken @yaakattackk @RodneyYoung @DreJones @JonathanKerns @bnzattoni @TravisManning @GalacticChakra @smothgreen @afxs @johnnolastname @ChristopherKenn @ChasePage @coreywriley91@MikeWolf @MrTenThirty @JasonNilsson @BrunoDutch @SherzTYC @krishntejanand @addri @ChrisStephens What was your favorite one from the list? The AC Milan 21/22 home shirt ‘Move Like Milan’
Football fashion is an industry in itself and every season clubs across the world get in on the action by releasing a whole new set of kits for the campaign. Manufacturers such as Nike, adidas, Puma and more are all in competition to produce the best looking kits each year, meaning there is always some sort of innovation. Some brands have delved into the past for retro inspiration, while others tend to stick with a more modern vibe. The Rossoneri’s new PUMA kit has been officially unveiled, see what the Milan players will be wearing next season. The AC Milan 21/22 home shirt, The design takes inspiration from the energy, creativity and style of Milan, celebrating what it means to ‘Move Like Milan’, reflecting the rapid acceleration of the city’s culture as Milan reinvents itself. The jersey features Milan’s iconic red and black stripes reinterpreted at various widths in a single, symmetrical design, celebrating the creative balance of tradition and modernity giving rise to a new Milan, from the pitch to the streets to the city skyline. “As a horizon of modern skyscrapers emerges in the city, so does a new state of mind. The Milanese are embracing international influences at a striking pace, setting their sights on the future, eager to spark a new era of creativity and innovation for the ever-elegant metropolis. It features a thick black stripe in the centre, with stripes becoming narrower as they move outward. A black panel runs under the arm and cuts off at an angle, giving off serious mid-2000s Nike vibes. Of note, the women’s team shirt sponsor is Banco BPM, an Italian bank based in Milan, while the men’s team is sponsored by Emirates Airline. Another difference between the men’s and women’s jerseys is that the women’s jerseys have defined, solid red collars and sleeve cuffs, whereas the men’s jerseys do not. The slogan “Sempre Milan” appears on the back of the jersey, near the collar. “The new Milan Home jersey combines 100% recycled polyester with advanced PUMA dryCELL thermoregulation technology to ensure uncompromising fit and mobility, keeping the athlete dry and comfortable. The jersey integrates an Ultra-light jacquard structure into the back of the jersey to enhance breathability. “AC Milan as a club is a mirror of the energy and spirit of the city of Milan,” said Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer at AC Milan. “We are very proud to be launching our new Home kit today and debuting it on the pitch for the first time with our Women’s team. Once again PUMA’s new jersey captures the true essence of Milan, a unique blend of football, fashion and culture that truly sets this club and this city apart.” “The two captains of Milan’s Women’s team and Men’s team, Valentina Giacinti and Alessio Romagnoli shared their comments on the new Home kit designed by PUMA. “Giacinti said, ‘I am really excited to be wearing this kit on the pitch for the first time in our next game. I love the design, modern yet traditional, and how it has been influenced by the city of Milan.’ Romagnoli added, ‘Wearing the red and black colors day in and day out gives me immense pride. The new kit looks really modern, and you can truly see where the inspiration for the stripes comes from – it is a great representation of Milan’s new and expanding skyline.’
