Is it a gimlet? Almost, but not quite. This one is brings in cucumber freshness and a kick of green peppercorns. Something that I think both @Allischaaff and @Rodiziketan would love right about now...

The Green Whisper

Glass: highball
Method: shake and strain
Garnish: long thin cucumber spiral; 2 shiso leaves
• 2 oz. vodka or gin
• 1.25 oz. fresh English cucumber juice
• .75 oz. fresh lime juice
• .75 oz. house-made green peppercorn syrup
Add liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice. Shake for 10 seconds and then strain into your glass. Garnish and serve

Green Peppercorn Syrup

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. green peppercorns, whole
In a medium saucepan, wet sugar with just enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and immediately turn off the heat and add the green peppercorns. Swirl for about three minutes. Strain into a clean glass jar and keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
It's kind of a blur now, that I look back, but it was such a crazy roller coaster, It was day-by-day just trying to keep it together. I think I zoned out at work during that time. I have no idea. lol @rodiziketan
wow, that's badass. How did you manage to do that? @marshalledgar
If it's any consolation, I was working full time and going to school full time for two years straight. One of those quarters, I was taking 15 credits worth of classes instead of the normal 12 credits. That period of time was pure HELL. But I have no regrets @rodiziketan
don't even say it. I started my new year, and I have classes all day long. Like really all day long. From 9am to 6pm, and a lot of home work as well :( @marshalledgar
Good to see and hear you again @rodiziketan. School must keep you busy! :)
