"Good is not a thing you are. It's a thing you do."

Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel is one of the more recent additions to the Marvel universe. And she's here to stay! These comics were an unexpected hit

"This is saying our generation will never matter. But we have to matter. If we don't, there is no future worth saving!"

Origins: Kamala was born in New Jersey after her parents immigrated to the U.S. from Pakistan. She gained her powers when Jersey City was enveloped by Terrigen Mists, and before she had full control of her powers she rescued one of her classmates. She realized that she wanted to be a hero.
Powers: Kamala has accelerated healing. She can also compress, stretch and morph her body.

" Ammi and Abu taught me to always think about the greater good. To defend people who can't defend themselves, even if it means putting yourself at risk."

Kamala is still discovering what it means to be a hero. In our world, often our heroes are very grim, or antiheroes, or corrupted. Kamala isn't jaded; she's hopeful. She's inspiring where others have let us down. @lovelywhite13 @danidee @rodiziketan @ChosenKnight @ButterflyBlu @MarkusGress @Audra333 @AimeeH @tardisdragon7 @DragonettiSweet @Marichel @DeannaTrappLyon @dustinparson @DianaBell @BeannachtOraibh @SheenaKay @jibarito @thatonegirl @thewolfofnola this character is one of my all-time favorites! Let's give her some love!!
@ButterflyBlu thanks! She's one of my favorite characters being developed right now (it helps that the writer is so good) and I hope as she grows more people find out about her ^_^ @danidee HECK YES. I'm hoping that Kamala is the first of many! @ChosenKnight Absolutely. This was definitely an intentional effort on the part of Marvel to increase positive representation, and since it was such an overwhelming and unexpected success I think they might actually be getting the message.
UGH SHE IS SERIOUSLY QUEEN. If they had developed her about 20 years ago, I would have grown up as obsessed with her just as much as (if not more than) Jubilee. But instead, I can be a 'grown up' that's really stoked to see such a positive representation of a South Asian-American young woman. Jersey girls represent. :D
@danidee @ChosenKnight I need a Kamala movie like I need air!
@shannonl5 ME TOO. More positive representations of realistic women please!
this is awesome.I really hope I starts seeing her more when I read comics. she such an inspiring character,and I would love to learn more about her.I hope that this will he the start of more people in the middle east being positively represented in Marvel and elsewhere.thanks a lot for the card Shannon.
