Wear This Swimsuit, Help Save the Ocean
Dubbed the “sponge suit” this incredibly innovative swimsuit can help clean up the ocean. It’s sponge material is designed to soak up oil and chemicals spills, and it does not actual damage to the ocean.
Watch this super cool sponge get to work:

Science is pretty rad right?! Plus it’s super cute.

Spokesperson for the design company explains the design:
"The form of the Sponge Suit is inspired by the super-porous, mesh-like structure of the Sponge material. The filler amount and the allocation were identified by creating several design alternatives, considering the form and the ergonomics of the human body, while pushing the limits in translucent swimwear design.”

What do you think of this swimsuit?

Cool, awesome, save the oceans but ummm.... I don't really want a bunch of nasty dangerous chemicals and oils purposefully soaked up and retained by the material on my tatas and hooha. Just saying.

Hahaha the chemicals and oils are already in the ocean, and we swim in them! the swimsuit actually prevents the chemicals from effecting your skin because I’m pretty sure they are contained in the sponge. @BeannachtOraibh @Aubrey1990 @ToniEliseHolden haha that was my worry too

WTF! ALL swimsuits should be made with this stuff! Especially skinsuits that people wear when they surf!

I could not wear a swim suit that small. not confident enough... plus couldn't they find a better place to put that sponge than on the parts we really don't want pollutants.

oooh ok, that's what I was meaning, then if they all work well like that, it's a great idea, but afterwards, what do you do with the oiled swimsuit?
