Jamaal Charles and Adrian Peterson waged a friendly war of words this summer with each claiming he was the LeBron James of the NFL.
While we won't get to see the two square off to confirm who is the most complete back in the NFL this Sunday when the Chiefs face the Vikings (charles tore his ACL last week) Adrian has decided to compare himself to a new all-time great.
"I'll say I'm the Michael Jordan,'' Peterson said on a conference call with Kansas City area media. "There's always the debate, would LeBron be better than Michael? So I'll say I'm the Michael Jordan of football.''
At 30, Adrian Peterson is in his prime and dominating the NFL. One could argue that Peterson has been the best running back in the league since the Emmitt Smith-Barry Sanders era.
Neither of those backs played with the power that Peterson has, so the question must be posed: Is Adrian Peterson truly the Michael Jordan of the NFL?
I think ain't nobody great enough to compare themselves to MJ. He was on an entirely different level.
Peterson is not even the best running back in the NFL, so he can't compare his self to MJ and I'm not even a fan of MJ's.
@TravisBeck Haha that's saying a lot. And may I ask, how are you not a fan of MJ?
@gatorchick96 Thank you hahaha
