Want to add some sass to your fall decorations for your home or apartment? This DIY project is perfect for you! This DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at HGTV.
For this project, you will need:
-- Pumpkins (you can get real or fake — it's up to you!)
-- Colored glitter
-- Spray adhesive
-- Small paintbrush
-- Brown paint
-- Newspaper (to put down beneath your project)
You can find all of items at a craft store.
Spray glue on the pumpkin
Use the spray adhesive to cover the entire pumpkin in glue. Do not skimp on the glue. Make sure that the entire pumpkin is covered in a thick layer of glue.
After you have applied the glue, sprinkle glitter all over the glue-covered pumpkin. Make sure you have laid out a piece of paper underneath the pumpkin to catch all of the excess glitter so that you don't waste any glitter. Let the glue completely dry and brush off any excess glitter so that it doesn't come off when you are decorating your living space.
Paint the stem
To give the glitter pumpkin a little bit more definition, paint the stem of the pumpkin with dark brown paint. This step is completely optional — it's completely up to you if you want to paint the stem.
