This is a fall twist on the classic paper roses. How chic are these leaf roses?! You can use them to decorate your home or apartment or you can put them on gifts — it's up to you! This DIY tutorial comes from the creative people at Design Sponge.
For this project, you will need:
-- Leaves (you can use real or fake, just make sure they are pliable)
-- Floral tape
-- Small sticks
Fold the leaves
Fold the top of the leaf down to the center of the stem, as shown in the picture above. Then, fold the two sides of the leaf in towards the middle.
Start the rose
Fold the top of the second leaf down, like you did with the first one. However, do not fold in the sides of the leaf. Place the first folded leaf in the middle of the second leaf and wrap the two sides around the first leaf.
Continue forming the rose
Continue folding and wrapping the leaves until you have a full rose. Make sure to collect all the stems from the leaves down so that you can make a rose stem.
Make a stem
Once you have finished forming the leaf rose, place a small stick at the base of the rose. Then, wrap floral tape all the way around the small stick and the stems of the leaves to create a sturdy rose stem.
