One Direction's new single "Perfect" debuted Thursday, Oct. 16 and it literally screams "THIS IS ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT!" The star studded couple was #RelationshipGoals for weeks a few years back and now that Swift has dropped a few songs about her ex Harry Styles, it's no surprise that he's finally coming back with a song about her! Not only has Swift written about Styles in her song "Out of the Woods" and "Style" but Styles also inspired "I Knew You Were Trouble". The song is so blatantly about Taylor Swift that the song is identical musically. He literally wrote "Perfect" to sound like "Style"...genius. From the beat, to the pitch, to the lyrics, Styles is not hiding anything.
But, if you do insist of needing some proof, check out the lyrics provided by Tv Guide:
"Perfect" lyric: If you like midnight drives with the windows down
"Style" lyric: Midnight, you come and pick me up no headlights
"Perfect" lyric: If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn't do
"I Knew You Were Trouble" lyric: And I realize the blame is on me / 'Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in
"Perfect" lyric: But that don't mean that we can't live here in the moment / 'Cause I can be the one you love from time to time
"Style" lyric: It's been a while since I have even heard from you / I should just tell you to leave 'cause I / Know exactly where it leads but I / Watch it go round and round each time
"Perfect" lyric: And if you like cameras flashing every time we got out / And if you're looking for someone to write your breakup songs about / Baby, I'm perfect
"Style," "Out of the Woods" and "I Knew You Were Trouble": Every lyric is about Styles
It'll be interesting to see how Swift is going to respond to this.
