When Love Arrives

Please note, there is a small amount of language that maybe be unsafe for work.

"When Love Arrives" is a poem by Sarah Kay & Phil Kaye. It is a beautiful look at the reality of love. We often have so many expectations of what our Lover will be. Sometimes, those expectations can get in the way of reality. Some people tend to overlook someone amazing because we are expecting our ideal to happen if we just wait. Other times, we can't understand that people change. Change may be different, but remember, it isn't always a bad thing.
Take a look and let me know what you think of the poem... and the sentiments.

This was -really- beautiful. I ladore when they express so many things in such simplistic ways. I've seen a ton of slam poetry and a lot of times they use such a huge amount of complicated wording that it becomes hard to follow. Not everyone can understand. (( Not everyone feels quite as deeply )) I feel this poem was something that anyone can truly understand and follow. Even if they don't have that deep poetic soul. Great share. I love it. ♡

Thank you, @Danse. I know exactly what you mean. I like songwriters who do that, too. More than anything, when I write my poetry, I try to make it personal, but easy to put yourself into whatever I'm describing. Sometimes flowery descriptions work, for some people, but for most, it's a lot easier to identify if it's just down to earth and honest, and shows vulnerability. This poem did that well. It was very humble and vulnerable. I'm pleased that you loved it. I love it, too. <3
