Horses Eat Watermelon Rinds?

I live in a part of San Diego where a lot of people like to own horses, thanks to living next to a bunch of ranches and a hugely popular racetrack. I saw this bucket at the store a while back, and it made me laugh. Horses eat watermelon rinds?! Can anyone here who has ever raised a horse confirm or deny this?
Also, am I the only one who read this sign and thought of this:

@danidee its all how there organs are pieced together and how theyre supposed to function and I had 4 but now Im down to one. I had to sell 2 of them because I'm in college and one just passed away, but horses are a big part of my life. I love them to peices.
@mintey24 there ya go, she's got it lol
They can! But horses are hind-gut fermenters and have very delicate digestive systems so even though they can digest it, I still feel safe to give it to them in small doses because they usually have feed and hay or grass on a daily basis. Throwing it out of wack by feeding it too much of something else can cause problems. Even switching feeds on them has to be a careful and kinda slow process
@danidee they truly are, ive had all types of horses in my life but they all turn out to be loveable, sweet and I had a little filly earlier this year that was such a people pleaser ^-^ omg and are you near any local stables or equestrian centers? Get back in that saddle! :D
@danidee No, my mom was actually terrified of horses due to having one of her aunts get paralyzed by one in her childhood and my dad raised cows, goats, and pigs. I have no clue where my love of horses came from but I would crawl around as a baby saying "horsie! horsie!" and it started from there ^-^

You need to pay attention to how your wig is groomed, too much combing can damage your wig. How to comb a lace wig? We will show you in as much detail as possible how to groom affordable human hair frontals and bundles wig for more volume. Prepare the tools you need before you start and place your wig in a wig rack. 1. Comb and curl your lace wig First, we need to comb the straight wig with a wide tooth comb so the hair doesn't tangle. You can then curl your wig to make it look looser than a straight wig. If you are using a human hair wig, you can use a curling iron to curl it. If you are using a synthetic wig, you are advised to use a roller as it is less heat resistant. Pull out a section of hair and wind the ends around the roller, then slowly roll it to the bottom. Use some long pins to secure the drum. Now repeat the process, wrapping the drum until all the hair is finished. Let it stay like this all night. If you have an evaporation cap, it works even better. Wait until the next morning. 2. Comb your hair Take a section of hair and brush it from the third part of the hair. Do not brush straight up and down when combing. You can do a more circular motion. Comb your hair back. You get hair that looks like a cloud, clumping around the roots and giving your hair a very fluffy look. You don't have to comb all your hair, just in areas where you want it to look fuller. It's just a matter of preference. Be patient during the grooming process, treat your wig gently and avoid tangles. 3. Brush your hair again Repeat the above steps to get more hair collected at the roots, creating a certain height. And it looks plump, too. 4. Smooth your hair After completing the above steps, brush gently bit by bit with a brush on the hair surface, making it smoother. Doing so will make it look more natural. 5. Keep style longer The final step is to use some styling spray to make your hair last longer. What other questions about wigs are bothering you? Stranger Danger: Scary Story From Last Night :/
This happened to me last night and I hope that sharing my story will remind you to be careful, even if you feel very safe in your home. I live in Korea which is a ridiculously safe country. After 4 years I haven't even had anyone (other than one asshole american) cat call me. But a few months ago I had a man try to follow me home. He looked like he was not all there in the head, and I noticed him before I was anywhere near my home and was able to scare him back to where he came from. Last night though I had another creepy experience that could have been any number of things, but it reminded me to be very careful. I live in an apartment building here in Seoul and I know everyone who lives on my floor (there arent that many of us) so I can usually tell who is coming down the hall based on their footsteps. I was waiting for my boyfriend to come over and usually I open the door for him right when he arrives since our key pad is hard to use. Most apartments in Korea use a keypad like this to open the door, not a real key. Usually even though I always beat him to it, my boyfriend at least tries to open the door. But when I heard footsteps come down the hallway and stop at my door, I was surprised he didnt start pressing buttons. For some reason I looked out the peephole and saw the shoulder of a man (i think) with a puffy winter jacket on outside my door. It was similar to my boyfriend so I thought maybe he was just reading an email or something (he can be a scatter brain haha) and paused before opening the door. I waited without saying anything because I usually try to surprise him at the door. But the man stayed still for so long that the lights went off in our hallway (most lights in Korean apartment hallways are motion censored so if theres no movement in the hallway for a while, they go off. I thought that was SUPER weird so I knocked on my door to make the man do something (i still thought it could be my boyfriend) Thats when he disappeared/walked away. At this point I cant remember if I actually saw him turn and move away or if I looked away and when I looked back he was gone. Either way I was freaked out. I texted my boyfriend asking if that was him, and saw I had missed a message from him asking if I wanted snacks. I thought then maybe he came to my home but went back out to grab snacks. Maybe 30 seconds later he was unlocking my door and apologizing for being late. That wasn't him at the door only a minute before. It could have been an innocent mistake, someone got the wrong room number or something, but something about the way they just stood there not moving for so long gave me the creeps. I want to encourage all of you to, even if you're expecting someone at your door, to check first and ask who it is. Needless to say, I slept with the extra lock on my door last night.
What's The Point Of Wearing a Wig Cap And Not Wearing a Wig Cap?
It all depends on your choice. If you feel confident and safe enough, you can always wear a wig without a cap. If you have lost all or only a few hairs, you should wear a wig cap. The wig cap provides extra comfort between the 5x5 closure wig and the head for women with sensitive skin and scalp. Wigs can irritate delicate skin because they are rough. Wig caps can make long curly wigs more comfortable for those who have lost all their hair. benefit: Even if you have a lot of natural hair, wigs can make your scalp feel itchy and embarrassing. The ombre blonde lace front wig cap provides a layer of protection between the wig and the skin. If you have stray hairs under your wig, a wig cap may help. They securely lock all the hair under the wig and prevent any stray hair from escaping. Shortcoming: If you live in a hot climate and can't stand the heat, you should avoid wearing wig caps. When sweat and oil build up on your head, it can lead to a rash and possibly hair loss in the future. Consider the following tips when making a decision: 1. The head area. This varies from person to person, and if you have a bigger head, you may find wig caps rather unpleasant. If you wear a wig cap for a long time, you may get a headache. If you have a smaller head, the wig cap may slip under the wig and cause the wig to fall out. 2. Cotton and nylon wig caps are the most common, although they are not suitable for people with sensitive scalps. And nylon hats can be itchy and uncomfortable. 3. If you live in a hot climate, you may want to avoid wig caps. Adding another layer of cloth makes the heat intolerable. 4. If you must wear a wig cap, make sure it is clean and fit. Tips for Wearing a Wig Without a Hat If you don't want to wear a wig with a wig cap, you should keep the following tips in mind. 1. Choose the right size, wigs that are too tight around the head may cause hair loss and breakage. 2. Don't forget to wash the wig cap to remove debris and bacteria from the hair and scalp. 3. Be sure to wear a wig that allows the scalp to breathe. Wigs without caps are lighter and allow more airflow to the scalp, so capless wigs won't make you feel as hot as standard wig caps. 4. Don't ignore your hairline. To avoid damaging the edges, place the wig cap behind the ear, not forgetting the hairline. 5. If possible, avoid using adhesives to avoid hair loss or breakage near the hairline. 6. If you have a sensitive scalp, you should avoid wearing wigs made from synthetic hair. Excessive itching, burning, and scalp discomfort may be due to the sensitivity of the wig material. 7. Take time for regular haircuts and deep conditioning treatments between wigs.

Bull & Horse vs. Man Physics Wins Every Time!
I have been fortunate to have access to shoot many interesting things in my career. But honestly I'd never shot a rodeo before this past Saturday night in Santa Barbara, CA - as part of the week-long "Old Spanish Days Fiesta". I took my Nikon D4s & Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 lens on a heavy Manfrotto monopod. What I captured blew my mind. I mean these rodeo bull and bronco riders are totally, utterly, unquestionably insane. Take a 1,500 - 1,800 pound animal who is really, really, really pissed off you are on it's back - that's the horses, BTW. Or take a 2,500 to 3,000 pound animal made of SOLID MUSCLE that is pissed off at the universe and everything in it - that's the bulls of course - and strap yourself to it to see how long you can hold on. The end result is rather interesting when you break it down into little 1/1100 second slices of time. You have the 150-190 pound cowboys experiencing Newtonian physics with brutal results. OK seriously - look at the creature in the photo above... does it look like something you'd want to be ANYWHERE near? I mean it looks like it should be chasing Luke Skywalker or Han Solo across some alien landscape trying to suck their brains out or something. Bulls are freaking scary! They are anything but timid. Yeah. Go out into a field with this guy sleeping and try to tip him over - he'll jump up and stomp you flat. What I do really love about shooting with such a long and fast lens is that I can capture the pure terror and regret on each cowboy's face as they stare into the abyss and see death waiting for them. I mean, sure - why not? I wonder what was going through the first group of cowboy's heads when they watched one of their buddies getting launched into the air like a pop-fly-ball in a Major League Baseball game and they decided, "This should be a sport." And what about the first time the situation in the photo sequence above happened? I watched through my camera for almost a full minute as this poor cowboy got his hand pinched and stuck in the rope... he couldn't let go. So this rather large and powerful animal - who wanted nothing to do with some human being being stuck to him - ran around the arena like a cat with a ball of tape stuck to its tail. It totally ruined this guy's shoulder, nearly ripped his arm off. He had to be taken out by ambulance. I'm sure he's going to need a couple of surgeries on his shoulder. And as it is with any concert or major sporting event like boxing... the very best is saved for last. The bull riding! No one could stay on these animals. And no one got off without being batted off like a pesky fly. What was interesting to me was that I was on the ground of the arena, behind a metal gate - but right there with an unobstructed view of the action - and I could see a huge difference in attitude between the horses and the bulls. Horses wanted you off and wanted to get away from you. But the bulls... oh no. You'd obviously insulted their sense of dignity by attempting to ride them. They were out for blood. The second you were off their back they'd turn to come get you. I mean it... these things are freakin' evil. Think about that next time you sit down to a nice big New York Strip or Ribeye steak... You are ingesting evil. LOL. Above - A couple of selfies from where I was shooting. I am now a reformed beef eater. And I've never cared for the taste of horse. :D
