Sometimes you have to turn a negative into a positive.

Although it's easier said than done, it's possible. When Californian bride to be, Kari Duane's husband got cold feet and called off their wedding last minute there was only one thing to do. Wedding expenses up to $35,000 had already been paid for and of course, money doesn't go not trees. After Kari's mom got word that the wedding was called off she decided to put on her thinking cap and make a positive out of the negative situation. With both a venue and plenty of food, Kari's mother decided to welcome the homeless to enjoy a meal that was originally planned for wedding guest. Of course, Kari was still grieving and didn't make the event, but she said, "I feel a lot of heartache and heartbreak for her, but I will take away something good from this, I will." It's always nice to do things for those in need. Give and it shall be given unto you.
Things may have not worked out in the bride to be's favor, but others were able to benefit from the situation. A man who came to enjoy a meal with his family said, "When you're going through a hard time and a struggle for you to get out to do something different and with your family, it was really a blessing." I definitely feel for Kari. I can only imagine what she may be going through, but her mother is a true angel for opening the doors of the reception and her heart to those who just needed a smile. Hopefully she will be able to send a smile in her daughters direction, but we all know healing takes time. Wishing Kari the best. The groom to be truly missed out on marrying the daughter of an angel.
