Thanks To El Niño, Poisonous Sea Snakes Are Washing Up On Cali Beaches
El Niño, man... El Niño!

People haven't been taking this seriously, but I'm sure this update will wake them up.

According to a report from CNN, the rising ocean temperatures have driven some poisonous sea snakes into uncharted waters.

For those wondering exactly where those "uncharted waters" are, the snakes have been spotted in Oxnard and more notably, in Malibu, California.
According to Heal the Bay, this is the first appearance of the venomous snake in California since 1980, which took place during another El Niño storm season.

The snakes are normally found in Baja California and Central America where the weather is more tropical, but El Nino has switched things up a bit.

According to reports, this may not be a one time occurrence, as Cali residents could see more snakes pop on shore more often in the upcoming months.

May be best to stay out of the water until this gets settled.

Darn straight I'm staying out of the water. >.< I can already see how the weather is different though. It's a completely different pattern than there has been since I moved here. The storms we had over the weekend were crazy. I can't imagine how interesting the rest of Fall and Winter are going to be here!!
ahhhh that image with the snake on the mans face freaks me out! ahaha I can’t look at it for too long. I’m the same way though, I don’t think I’ll be going into any california water any time soon.
Just stay out of the water! haha I know that’s probably hard to say though because I love the beach @mchlyang
