Hold on to the last little bit of summer in your home or apartment with hanging sunflower balls. They will brighten up your place and are sure to put a smile on your face. This DIY tutorial comes from the wonderfully creative people at Lace and Glaze.
For this project, you will need:
-- Styrofoam balls
-- Fake sunflowers
-- Hot-glue gun and hot-glue guns
-- Twine or ribbon
You can find these items at a craft store.
Glue on the sunflowers
Put a dab of hot glue on the backside of the heads of the sunflowers. Then, put the heads into the styrofoam ball. You can push the sunflowers into the styrofoam ball and the hot glue will keep the sunflowers there. Continue this step until the entire styrofoam ball is covered with sunflowers.
Create the hanger
Take a piece of twine and tie it around the stem of a sunflower head. Then, dab some hot glue on the backside of the head and push it into the styrofoam ball, as you did with the rest of the sunflowers. This will create a way to hang the sunflower balls.
