Pentatonix is not one to dismiss.
Pentatonix, arguably the most famous acapella choir in the world, is at the top of the U.S. charts. Billboard just released in the past few hours that Pentatonix and Demi Lovato are competing to win the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart and right now... Pentatonix is winning at least on the iTunes charts!
Pentatonix is having a glorious year with an unbelievable amount of success as they bring acapella music into the mainstream. On the other hand, Lovato's new album 'Confident' is nothing short of outstanding as she's showing an empowering side we've never seen from her before.
Since Billboard standings are based on multi-metro consumption, it's still unsure who will come out on top. Multi-metro consumption consists of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The standings for this week will be determined and posted on Billboard's website on Sunday, Oct. 25.
If Lovato wins the race, this will be her second No.1 on the Billboard 200 since 2009's 'Here We Go Again'. For Pentatonix, this would be their first win which is definitely due following their No. 2 'That's Christmas To Me' which got out-shined by Taylor Swift's '1989' last year.
