Hey everybody, I just want to calmly tell you that THE FINAL STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS TRAILER IS OUT NOW AND WHAT AM I DOING STILL TYPING SCROLL DOWN TO WATCH IT AND THEN I'LL KEEP TYPING, PROBABLY.
I don't think I can tell you guys how many times I've watched this trailer in the past 30 minutes. Every time it ended, I just clicked that little ouroboros-esque button in the bottom left hand of my screen (I had it full-screen obviously).
I'm probably, maybe, most likely going to a longer and more in-depth card about this trailer in the future but I couldn't help but take a whole bunch of screenshots of the trailer to just geek-out about.
So below are some of the moments in the trailer that made me go, "oh man, that's cool" and drool/sweat/get goosebumps. [Also, these screenshots come in no particular order, so you know.]
There's something about this explosion that made me get all giddy. Maybe because it looks real. I don't know what's exploding or why they're running towards it or whatever but it's an amazing shot. Mostly because of the way it's filmed. There's probably some CGI involved to supplement the actual explosion, but my mind thinks it's real so it's real.
This moment is probably my favorite. We all knew that Harrison Ford was returning to play Han Solo but it's the things he says during the trailer that really gets me excited. He's talking to the young people about everything that's happened in the previous movies and assuring them that all of that actually did happen. [There's more I could write about this but I'll save it for a future card... You know, after I get my brain back together.]
Oh man and this. John Boyega's character is the Jedi in this movie? I don't know what was wrong with me but I didn't think any of the characters we've seen thus far would have been the Jedi. I've been ignorantly keeping myself in the dark, so I have no one to blame but myself. But I'm excited it surrounds his journey and by the narrative of the trailer it looks like he used to be a part of the remnants of the Empire (I think they're calling it the First Order or something? Please correct me if I'm wrong) and just quits.
Also, I've been a fan of his since I saw him in Attack the Block (which is great, go watch it, like right now) and I'm happy for him as an actor... If that makes any sense.
Anyway, are there any moments from the trailer you guys enjoyed? All I want to do is talk about this movie. So please, please, please talk to me! Haha
