Just like sofrito is essential for cooking for Puerto Ricans, garlic sauce is essential to the Cuban cuisine. It's used in so many dishes. It can be used as a sauce, or even as a condiment. My favorite way to use the garlic sauce is to dip tostones in them!
What You'll Need:
12 Cloves of Garlic (chopped & minced)
1 Cup of olive oil
1/2 cup of sour orange juice
By the way, you can find sour orange juice in most hispanic grocery stores. If you can't find it, you can use regular orange juice and lime. For example, 1/4 of orange juice and 1/4 lime juice and mix together.
How To Make It:
1) Place the garlic, olive olive oil, and into the blender
2) Blend until you have a paste consistency
3) As you continue to blend, gradually add the orange juice. Use salt and pepper to taste.
