It's literally a cycle.
You find yourself and then you end up lost again overtime. Well, what I've learned is that you can't blame anyone but yourself for ending up right where you started. I get it your young. When you're young it's all about making mistakes, learning from them and growing in the end. What you might think is your final destination sometimes turns out to be a dead end and you're forced to turn around and start back where you began. It's life. Just like you're still learning, I can say the same. I've had moments where I thought I had it all together just to realize that I wasn't anywhere close to having it together. As a young woman in her mid-twenties, making mistakes comes easy and fixing those mistakes can be rather difficult at times. Especially when those mistakes happen to be mistakes that you've made in the past.
You would think that you would've learned, right? Easier said than done. I'll admit that I can sometimes be extremely hard headed, especially when it comes to getting something I want. Whether that something be a person or a thing -- sometimes the very thing that we want is the very thing that we don't need. We don't realize in the beginning how this thing we are craving might have a negative effect on us until it's too late. You don't have to admit it, we've all been there and if you haven't -- believe me when I say it will happen. Like I mentioned, it's life, but it's preventable. If you find yourself just to lose yourself again, follow these three simple steps in hopes of finding yourself and keeping yourself.
Surround yourself with positivity.
Just because it looks or sounds positive doesn't mean that it is. Remember, the devil was once an angel. Looks are deceiving and so are words. Remove yourself from all negative vibes. If it doesn't feel right, it usually isn't. Don't question it.
Stop holding on to past mistakes.
We all make mistakes. It's a part of life, but don't allow those past mistakes that you or someone else in your life made cause you to ruin something good. If you can't move past those mistakes than you'll forever be stagnant in both your daily walk and your relationships with others. You have to move on in order to move forward.
Focus on yourself.
The rest will follow. Simple as that.
If finding your keys or wallet is hard, imagine finding yourself.
Follow these few steps and you won't have to worry about losing yourself ever again.
