The Top #3 Pop Singles Of The Week

Hello. Perfect. Sorry.

This week, three major pop icons released new music videos with their current number one hits. They are completely different from one another but amazing in their own right. Obviously most of the publicity has been garnered by Adele since this is her first debut in just under 5 years. One Direction had the limelight last week and Justin Bieber's current single has been slightly out-shined but he dominated the media last month with "What Do You Mean".
Which hit this week is your favorite?

Sorry

Why is this a fun tune? : It's very aux-cord worthy and you can totally see yourself dancing to this in the bar. It's catchy and very similar to previous songs debuted within his album. Bieber is back and stronger than ever. Maybe he's finally becoming a mature pop star and I think fans are starting to love that.
Who is this song about? : Selena Gomez, duh. Pretty much this entire album is an ode to her and their previous relationship. It's not completely obvious since he doesn't personally interject anything too flashy but it was his longest and most public relationship so it has to stand for something.
Should you hit the repeat button? : YES.

Hello

Why is this so gorgeous? : It's haunting. It's stunning. It's heart-breaking. The lovely tune turns the tables where it's actually Adele who broke someone else's heart. Recently many pop stars are no longer talking about heart break but more about apologizing, breaking other people's hearts, and learning to move on. However, Adele does it better than anyone else.
Who is this song about? : Not quite sure. She's in a happy place right now but it's a single that is a bipolar opposite of what you would have found in her album 21. She's sorry and she's going to sing her beautiful tune about it.
Should you hit the repeat button? : YES OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Perfect

Why is this song so clever? : It is an identical copy of Swift's "Style". If Taylor Swift is going to get away with writing a song about one of her ex-lovers, there's no reason why one of her ex-lovers can't write a song about her. There are many hints throughout the video that nod towards Swift and it's genius. If you play 'Style' and 'Perfect' overtop one another, you'll notice that they are practically indistinguishable.
Who is this song about? : Taylor Swift, DUH.
Should you hit the repeat button? : Yes, of course.

@TessStevens I completely agree. Bieber's is almost created to be successful at this point. It has a good enough beat to dance to. A good enough beat to nod your head in approval. And good enough to be better than anything else he's put out into the music world in awhile. It's a recipe for success. But Adele on the other hand is pure perfection. Can't. Get. Enough.
It's so funny, because all of this new Bieber stuff is actually pretty okay. Good producers often yeild good results. It's not like the kid isn't talented either. Good choices. That Adele track is MAJOR! Glad we're seeing some great new pop tracks to lead us into the winter.

Adele's Producer Struggled With Keeping 'Hello' A Secret
"Hello from the other side." Greg Kurstin is not going to lie, it was incredibly hard to keep his lips sealed while preparing Adele's current number 1 hit, "Hello". This week, Adele's producer sat down with the Associated Press for an interview where he revealed that he struggled keeping her hit single a secret for over a year. Not only did he produce the song, but he also cowrote it. "I'm not going to lie — it's not easy to hold that information in for that long," the Grammy and Golden Globe nominated songwriter-producer said. Since last Friday, "Hello" has topped number one on the iTunes charts in over 85 countries. It also beat the Vevo record for most views in one day with 27.7 million which is more than Taylor Swift's huge hit, Bad Blood. This is Adele's first single to be released in just under four years which helped boost some of the hype around the song. "You kind of want to shout it out, run around in the streets yelling to random strangers what you've just done," he joked. Kurstin has worked with Pink, Lily Allen, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and now Adele. He is the writer of famous pop hits, "Chandelier" by Sia, "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" by Kelly Clarkson, and "Burn" by Ellie Goulding. He was supposed to work with Adele on her past hit album '21' however it never fell into place. He did contribute to Adele's two songs within the upcoming album, "Water Under the Bridge" and "Million Years Ago". "I'm still in shock, honestly. I was just pretty blown away," Kurstin said about the success of the track. She's just so wonderful to be around. She is funny and she's just so down-to-earth...You can immediately relate to her and connect with her. I really felt very comfortable around her because she makes you feel that way. She's just cool, and then she gets on the microphone and of course blows your mind." Adele's album is set to debut November 20.
See The Best Adele Doppelgänger
Meet Adele 2.0 : Ellinor Helborg Is Adele on the left or the right? That's just how shockingly similar Adele and this fan look alike. Meet Eleanor Helborg, a 22-year-old from Sweden. The Adele doppelgänger has an Instagram full of Adele inspired makeup looks and it's extremely uncanny how she looks identical to the British pop superstar. Fans from around the world have flocked to Helborg's Instagram just to take a glimpse themselves. Her bio includes the comment, "like to put makeup on my face from time to time nothing weird about it". In this instance though, it's impressive at how transformative makeup can do to a person's face. Though Helborg said how much she adores Adele, Helborg stands as an individual. "I do not strive to look like her, or anyone else. I am my own person," Helborg wrote in a post,"I have my own face and I look like me. If you think I look like a certain person that's fine, but arguing about who I do or do not look like is pointless. Telling me or other people in the comments I don't look like Adele means nothing, because that is not who I am trying to be. I am my own person." After scrolling through these pictures, I believe her eyes are a huge selling point in her Adele appearance. From her thick eye liner to her contoured cheek bones, Helborg has mastered this look. Really though, Helborg could totally be a stunt double for Adele if Adele ever wanted to be in the movies. Or Helborg could start a business where people hire her to be Adele at birthday parties. She might as well milk it for all its worth. Do you think Helborg looks like Adele?

Makeup Artist Draws Kim Kardashian On Her Chin
If you think Michael Jordan crying meme is hilarious, the Kim Kardashian one is twice as funny. As much as we love Kim K, she will never get out of this one -- ever. Let's be honest, her cry was monumental and quite hideous -- then again, who really has a lovely looking smile anyway? While Michael Jordan has been getting the most shine lately for his crying meme, it didn't take long before someone came along and put the infamous Kim Kardashian meme on the map. You've seen it on blogs, you've seen it on cellphones, and you've even seen it on shirts, but have you ever seen it on someone's chin? If not, today happens to be your lucky day. A talented makeup artist decided it would be cool if she drew cry baby Kim on her chin and believe it or not, it actually came out looking rather amazing. You cannot tell me that makeup is not a form of art. Laura Jenkinson is a makeup artist known for recreating images on her chin using her ever so amazing makeup skills and if you thought this was pretty awesome, just wait until you see her Donald Trump drawing -- yikes. In the meantime, keep scrolling and check out the images below. How epic is this? Looks just like Kim. Seriously. Of course, you can't have Kim without Kylie and her new lips. Amazing! Looks just like Jay-Z. Big lips and all. He has that same sinister look he always has on his face. Donald Gump. Ooops, I mean't Trump. Hey Everyone, look it's Finn from Adventure Time!
