Calling All Creatives: Its National Novel Writing Month !!!!
Its November and while most people think of the basic; "No Shave November", Thanksgiving pants season, or the worst of all people; The Countdown To Christmas People (stop forgetting Thanksgiving assholes), we writers recognize November as something far more....challenging. It's time to crank out a novel (50,000 words) in a mere 30 days. Thats right...November starts National Novel Writing Month! And I have to say for us procrastinating, totally undisciplined writers (raise your hand if you're with me) this month is awesome to get you kickstarted. Rules are there are no rules....just kidding there are rules but they are pretty lacks! A novel to the NANOWRIMO, which is the National Novel Writing website states that they will accept any word count between 10,000 to 999,999. This means that while your stories will have to be long they by no means have to model themselves after Game Of Thrones. How can you win? Because yes, doing this challenge can mean more then just writing a kick ass story that can make you the next Tolkien or J.K. Rowling. If you sign up on the NANOWRIMO website which is right here, then you will earn badges for getting to your daily word count goal and could even be one of the many winners at the end who will receive prizes! Whats even better is that through this website you will have forums and group chats with other writers struggling to pen their novel while juggling wok, school, family and pretty much life which always seems to be getting in the way. So take the challenge. Start that story that has been rolling around in your mind but keeps getting pushed aside by grocery lists. Take another look at the work that you are half way done with and just can't seem to sit down and finish. Talk, complain, and bitch about the struggles of writing with people doing the exact same thing as you. This November dare to start.
Personality transformation and personal development
You focus on developing the body, the brain, and the memory. You like to do this with great enthusiasm. After all, you want to be physically and mentally fit. That's great, but have you ever considered developing your own personality? How can you develop and transform your personality and actively give yourself more time for personal development in everyday life? Your personal development is basically divided into three important areas. However, you do not go through them one after the other, but they repeat themselves again and again: 1. Knowledge: realization of yourself is the analysis of the actual state. Here you first become aware of who you are and what makes you. But this analysis is not finished after one time. The more you work on yourself and your personality, the more often you will learn something new about yourself. So never lose sight of reflecting on yourself and getting to know yourself over and over again. If you want to transform your personality for the better, you can use amazing online resources available for free. 2. Acceptance: Wait, didn't we just say that personal development is about changing yourself? Why should you accept yourself now? It's simple: we don't want to turn 180 degrees and become a different person. We may also just accept ourselves as the person we are and not have to get rid of every little habit and thought. Start accepting and loving yourself as the person you are. This is the only way you will be able to grow in the long run. Personality Development it's more about.., negative beliefs and habits that keep you from living to your full potential. 3. Change: Last but not least, change occurs. Of course, this doesn't happen overnight, and as we've already established, it takes stamina, a concrete goal in mind, and the will to change. Don't let setbacks drag you down and be mindful and loving with yourself along the way.

10 Useful Nightmare Disorder Prevention Tips
Nightmares can be an integral part of the sleeping process. When they become disturbing and disrupt your quality of life, however, they could be signs of nightmare disorder. There are steps you can take to mitigate their effect and alleviate the nightmare frequency: 1. Establish and adhere to a consistent bedtime routine. A bedtime routine can help you sleep easier and longer by creating healthy sleeping habits and relieving stress. Do relaxing activities such as reading books, solving puzzles or taking a warm bath prior to going to sleep for optimal results. 2. Limit alcohol, caffeine and nicotine products before bedtime. To prevent nightmares from arising in the first place, limit your alcohol and caffeine consumption prior to going to sleep in order to achieve a restful night's rest and prevent nightmares from emerging in their first place. 3. Avoid large meals or snacking directly before bed. Snacking too close to sleep time can disrupt your rest and increase the risk of having nightmares, according to the National Sleep Foundation. Ideally, eating meals or snacking more than three hours prior to going to sleep would be wise. 4. Be patient and soothing when your child awakes from a nightmare. Children who frequently experience nightmares need reassurance that they're safe and won't hurt themselves during these dreams, while also understanding that they can share their concerns and reimagine them into less terrifying ones with you. 5. Be certain your child gets adequate sleep. Sleep-related nightmares may be common among young children, and may be an early indicator that your child isn't getting enough rest. Make sure your child goes to bed at the same time every night without taking any naps during the day. 6. Make your child's bedroom comfortable and quiet at night. To facilitate better restful slumber for both of you, try creating an environment in the room without electronics or lightbulbs that encourages relaxation and eases into restful sleep more quickly. This may help your little one sleep soundly! 7. Provide comforting responses when your child wakes from a nightmare. In order to help make them feel safer when awakening from nightmares, try holding his or her hand when awakening; otherwise use something comforting such as blanket or stuffed animal as an alternative way of comforting them. 8. Speak to Your Child About His/Her Nightmares. If your child has frequent nightmares that cause anxiety, it's essential that they speak to a pediatrician to discuss treatment and medication solutions for these nightmares. Your pediatrician can suggest therapies and medications tailored specifically to treat this problem. 9. Make Your Child's Bedtime Routine Easier To Stick To One key way you can help reduce nightmares is ensuring that your child goes to sleep at an ideal time and place. A psychologist may provide additional assistance if needed. 10. Explore Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT). CBT can teach you skills that will enable you to control the situations that trigger nightmares, as well as teach new ways of reacting when future nightmares reoccur.
Rediscovering Thankfulness and Words of Appreciation in Your Life: Gratitude, a Fading Habit in Us
People always look for someone happy and worried, but we must look at ourselves and unlock the power of happiness. Everyone is born in this world the same, and you create your destiny. Let's ask ourselves a straightforward question. Who are human beings? Science says humans are social animals who innovate and adapt according to the situation. All these things are true, but my perception says that a human being is a person who has a conscience, understands, helps others, and especially being thankful when receiving something from others. Yes, gratitude is a crucial topic to discuss in this century because the idea of it is fading in us every day. People are getting more and more selfish and embracing more mechanical lives. If we do not halt this dangerous act now, it will threaten human life. We must stop it, or we cannot claim ourselves who express gratitude to each other. Being grateful brings some changes in you and others The practice of gratitude is just focusing on the positive side of our lives and being thankful for others who help improve our lives and make us happier. Studies proved that the power of gratitude helps our mental and physical well-being. Remember this point, gratitude gives you happiness and motivates others a lot. What advantages does gratitude practice have? Mental health improves Being thankful dramatically helps your life and reduces depression, anxiety, and stress. Focusing only on the positive gives you less chance of getting negative thoughts and emotions, which provides you with peace and happiness. Let us be fit physically A mentally sound person can get good sleep, have a good immune function, and have low blood pressure. Here, practicing gratitude helps you a lot to be fit physically and to have a peaceful life. Build beautiful relationships Gratitude practice and Words of appreciation help you maintain positive relationships around you. Anyone can create a group of people around them who give off more vibes and happiness, making them successful. Better at perseverance and gain The practice of gratitude greatly influences your perseverance. Appreciation develops positivity in your life, which helps you cope with problems and challenges. How do you practice it in your daily life? Be grateful to yourself The best way to practice ‘daily gratitude’ is to practice it in your life every day’s life. You must find two or three things that make you happy and express gratitude to yourself for being in such a comfortable situation. Doing this will make you more optimistic and help you thank those who help improve your life. Being grateful to others is good The second step is the continuation of the last one, which helps you engage with people and be thankful for what they do. This act makes happy of you and the person who is on the opposite side. The activity tries to get more positive energy, and you also encourage the opposite person to work hard. Be at present Worry not about the past and never think of the future because you live in the present. Thinking about what happened hurts you a lot; you cannot change them, and thinking more about the next makes you worry. What you do right now is to give utmost importance to present moments. If they are positive, you get beautiful memories, and the future is decided by what you do now. There you get more happiness if things are ok at the present moment. The present is king; never let it go incorrectly, and always be positive. Everything is for good Sometimes things go wrong but believe that whatever happens is for good. Being worried gives you nothing but pain; instead, find solutions. Every flower has its beauty if you look at them so carefully. Similarly, every problem has its positive sides; find them and move forward with the whole spirit. Why is fading gratitude dangerous? Humans always claim that they own everything and can control it. Let us agree on it for the sake of argument, but technological life made us feel less. Industrialized life made our minds tiny; we now have no feelings about anything. Not understanding our fellow beings and not even gratitude. It is time to stop this act and embrace gratitude and appreciation, or we will become who we are not to be. This evil act will lead to the death of humanity. Better we stop it now, right now. Author's additional perception and verdict Life is different, and it has its positive and negative sides. It's up to you which side you prefer, the positive or negative. Your mind is the source of everything, and you must control it and take not very seriously if anything goes wrong. Nobody can defeat you in this universe if you are positive in your life. Take it easy and think about how to solve the issue you follow now. Find a solution, and there is no problem without a key. It would be best if you found it because you alone only can control your mind to reach the extreme level of happiness. Be happy, be grateful to all, and be a good human being.

We Have Forgotten How To Learn With Purpose.
What do you think of when you think of learning? Education? Perfect grades? You think success. And it makes sense. People who work hard, who are smart, who do great in school usually go on to become very successful people. And we all think of the same word when we hear successful right... That's right, money. But the problem is, we have forgotten about the beauty of learning, that lesson going in one ear and out the other. And without knowing how to learn, how can you possibly be prepared for the twists and turns of life ? The point of learning isn't to be better then everyone else. Learning isn't to make you wealthy or to climb one rug higher at your job. It's that kind of reasoning that pushes kids away from school. The point of learning is to maintain your dreams, adjust your expectations, adapt to situations and accomplish everything you ever wanted to do, without feeling regret about any of it. I'm reading a book about an astronaut, it's non fiction and the strangest memoir I have ever read. And he said the one reason he loved his job for 20 years was because he never let his love of being an astronaut hinder on weather or not he actually went into space. Sounds crazy right? But it makes sense. He loves space, loves figuring out how things fly and loves learning everything he can about how to be the best astronaut he can be. He did his part, and love every second of the journey. The getting into space part has too many variables out of his control, so why think of it as anything other then a perk? There have, after all, been amazing astronauts who haven't went into space. And it's that attitude that reminds us that learning isn't to only accomplish one goal, it's to prepare yourself for anything, this way you will always find success. So I think it's time we trust the process. We embrace learning not to move up the ladder. a passion for learning, for genuine curiosity will make us into a better person, even if it outwardly effects nothing but our attitude. We need to remember that societies version of "success" and our version of learning doesn't always see eye to eye. So embrace all knowledge, you never know how far it will get you to shooting for the moon. I mean hey, will preparing for one dream you might accidentally discover another along the way! The universe is pretty crazy like that. You live and you learn.

The Nonbeliever’s Guide to Bible Stories
Throughout contemporary life, references from the Bible, its stories, and characters surround us. As a result, nonbelievers may be at a loss when they encounter them in conversation, art, or literature.  Modern-day controversies such as separation of church and state, posting the Ten Commandments in government buildings, nativity displays, and other issues may not be fully understood. This represents a gap in nonbelievers’ knowledge base.  My first book was written for my daughter as a guide to successful living. Trust Your Radar: Honest Advice for Teens and Young Adults from a Surgeon, Firefighter, Police Officer, Scuba Divemaster, Golfer, and Amateur Comedian combines life lessons with fun stories from my varied careers. A second book, Trust Your Radar, Slackers’ Edition, is a streamlined version. Both works identify organized religion as “jammers” of our clear-thinking “brain radars.” My new book, The Nonbeliever’s Guide to Bible Stories, fills the information gap about the Bible for my daughter and lucky readers.  It’s a secular sprint from Genesis to Revelation, hitting the characters, stories, occasional highlights, numerous lowlights, and famous quotes (featured in italics).  Nonbelievers should have some concept of the religious fairy tales being foisted upon their believing peers. At a minimum, just to get all the jokes.  Read the full story
Jesus: Prophet of Peace and Love or Purveyor of Fear and Hate?
Multitudes of Christian commentators over the past two millennia have proclaimed the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth to be unsurpassed tenets of spiritual wisdom and unexcelled guidelines for living a morally responsible life.  Hundreds of millions of devout believers are absolutely convinced that they will conquer death and attain everlasting life because God sacrificed his son for their sins. They are also convinced that Jesus didn’t really die. He was restored to life and subsequently ascended to heaven to spend eternity with his father, and soon Jesus will return to Earth to judge the wicked and rapture righteous believers up to heaven with him. Countless books have been written extolling the allegedly commendable features of the “Christian worldview” and the “Christ-centered life,” but, by contrast, few authors have examined the unsavory side of Jesus’ personality and his less than-meritorious behavior and opinions. For this presentation, I’ve formulated, in a balanced fashion, two sets of ten principles based on Jesus’ pronouncements. Although his directives come from the canonical gospels (the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), additional documentation is abundant elsewhere in the New Testament epistles and letters. The twenty precepts are listed along with the supporting Bible verses from which they derive. The cited verses and passages appear in this separate article. This scriptural evidence will enable readers to answer for themselves the binary question that is the title of this article. NB: This article is not made assuming Jesus literally indeed existed, but an evaluation of the character of the Abrahamic religious texts. Read the full article:
