Chemistry is everything.
If you have good chemistry on screen, that doesn't always mean that the chemistry will be the same off screen. That's why it's called acting. As much as we loved Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in Titanic and Richard Gere and Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, that doesn't mean that they will ever be together in reality. I know, it sucks. At least we have the opportunity of swooning over their awesome relationships on the big screen, but that's about as good as it's going to get.
Often times we obsess over the relationships we see in films and don't ever take the time to realize that they aren't real. If only people loved now like they did in movies dating back to the 90s. We all have our favorite on screen couples that we jealously obsess over. Those couples we thought would make it on and off the big screen, but never quite did. Well, except for Brad and Angelina. Keep scrolling to see what couples I loved so much on the big screen that I was rooting for off screen as well.
Love Jones (1997) - Larenz Tate and Nia Long
If there was any couple I could choose on screen to be together off screen, it would definitely be these two. They played the roles of Nina (Nia Long) and Darius (Larenz Tate) perfectly and you could literally feel their energy through the television. Although they had their issues, you could tell they loved each other. It didn't seem forced and the film didn't end like your normal love story. It was realistic and that's what I loved so much about this film and the two characters portrayed.
Baby Boy (2001) - Taraji and Tyrese
Before there was a Cookie and Lucious, there was an Yvette and Jody. Yvette and Jody had that relationship where you knew they loved each other despite everything they went through -- and they definitely went through a lot. I always loved the chemistry of both Yvette (Taraji) and Jody (Tyrese) on screen. I just knew they would be perfect together in reality and although they do happen to be great friends, that seems to be all there is to it.
50 First Dates (2004) - Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore
This couple actually dated way before they were on the big screen together, but obviously things didn't last. They were amazing in this film and if their chemistry was half as strong in reality, I know things would be so perfect. They're both extremely comical and it just seems like their personalities mesh wonderfully.
Friends With Benefits (2011) - Mila and Justin
If you've seen the film Friends With Benefits than you know just how amazing the chemistry was between these two. They even looked amazing together. Although I do love the idea of Ashton and Mila Kunis together and of course, Justin Timberlake and Jessica, but if things don't work out in the long run -- they would be perfect for each other.
