The photograph above, if you can believe this, is from a video game. I'm not sure which video game but I know it's from an video game. It's a part of an online exhibition called Reality Bytes. Curated by actual photographer Andy Cull, he and a friend choose screenshots people take while playing video games that have that "this looks so real is this real this has to be real there's no way this is real" quality.
I usually try and write how I'm affected by the media that I include in my cards but I don't know what I can say. I couldn't believe that these screenshots were taken in-game. They always say that "a picture is worth a thousand words" and for the first time, I feel like that's true.
I was left absolutely breathless by all of the pictures in the exhibition and hopefully, if you appreciate both photography and gaming (like I do), then you'll love these photographs -- I refuse to call them screenshots. Maybe you can guess which game each of them is from?
wow. impressive. It seems very skyrim.
@KingOfHearts, I actually looked up later and that first image is from one of the Battlefield games! I definitely thought it was Skyrim as well though
1. skyrim 2. the last of us remastered 3. GTA 5? 4. no clue.
@allischaaf Yeah, totally! I also didn't know online art exhibitions existed until I came across this. It's really amazing what technology can do. And that picture you mentioned, with the spiderwebs, is one that still amazes me. I don't even know what game it's from and I played a whole lot of games, hahaha
Hahaha yeah I know you're a video game fanatic lol. @paulisaghost Maybe we should do an online Vingle exhibition sometime :O do you ever make art? I'm not really much of an artist but it'd be kind of fun to just make a virtual gallery of cool art we like or something like that ^^
