Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite Holidays. The parades, the football, the family and the food are just a taste of what makes it so special. But when all things should point to Thanksgiving, and fall being the center of our world, that annoying Christmas season creeps in.
IT IS NOT CHRISTMAS TIME YET. IT IS THANKSGIVING. SO GIVE THANKS DAMN IT.
Sorry, I just have a lot of feelings.
So this post, is a dedication to all of us who dread Christmas coming, and enjoy the little things like Thanksgiving, for what they are. A nice time to take off from work, enjoy a meal and hang with family.
Y'all need to calm down with all of that mistletoe and christmas light stuff. Your time will come.
You're the kind of people who try to steamroll Halloween as well, and that's just not fair.
It's not fair that people celebrate you in December and July.
It's not fair that you overtake Thanksgiving with your Black Friday nonsense.
It's not fair that people don't really care about the historical meaning, or know what it all means.
And it's not fair that Thanksgiving doesn't have its own songs!
I want Thanksgiving carols instead of those nauseating X-Mas tunes. Ugh. Bye.
Short and sweet, but I just wanted to extend a plea to all of you Christmas minded people out there. Please let Thanksgiving have its day. You've got an entire month to celebrate. Give all the harvest lovers one day. Please. Thank you.
