Poor Mets Fan...Probably the Biggest Regret of His Life!

I know all my Mets fans (@jeff4122 and @DannyMoses) are utterly disappointed and still trying to get over what happened Sunday night.

Yes, it's sad and all, but it's also time to move on. Baseball will come back once again and things are looking really good for the Mets organization.

Everyone should try to move on with the exception of maybe this one particular fan...

Meet Josh Davis of Hackettstown, New Jersey.

Josh is a hardcore New York Mets fan. And he decided to go out and do something brave(?) and reckless(?) in celebration of his favorite team making it to the World Series.
Josh got a tattoo that read:

"World-Champs 2015"

But....
as we all know by now,

the Kansas City Royals are 2015 World Series champions!

Um yeah....so Josh, what are you going to do about that tattoo?

Well at least Josh said he doesn't regret his tattoo. In an interview, he stated,
“I don’t regret it at all. I’ve been a huge Mets fan my whole life. I can always change it. I could always add to it. People are saying to wait until next year and make it a six [2016]."

Well, that's the spirit buddy! But I seriously do hope you learned your lesson.

@nicolejb - it should be fixable. If nothing else they can cover the 2015. >.<
ohhh noooo. this is just... well, sad. poor Mets fan. I really do hope he can fix the tattoo...
yeah you are probably right! for now, he can cover it with makeup and wait it out. haha @mchlyang
@nicolejb Ehh...I don't know about a baseball. It would be even more depressing if they don't win the World Series while Josh is alive!
Yeah, put something like a little baseball or something over that... lol.

What is Raspberry leaf?
Pregnancy is an exciting journey; prepare your body for the big day! Originally raspberry plants would have been growing wild in our hedgerows and along the edges of woodlands but early folk had the wisdom to cultivate this medicinal and culinary powerhouse. As with many plants there is more than meets the eye with our humble red raspberry bush and it is the leaves that have the most medicinal properties. Raspberry leaves have been enjoyed by pregnant women from the earliest times. ras What makes raspberry leaf so effective for pregnant women? Raspberry leaves are a larder of nutrients and are a tonic for the entire body. They contain high levels of calcium, which acts on the nervous system and help to relieve pain. Other beneficial nutrients for pregnant women include iron to maintain red blood cells, magnesium, manganese, niacin, selenium, phosphorus and potassium and also vitamins A, B, C and E. An alkaloid called Fragarine is a key constituent of raspberry leaf, which helps to strengthen and tone the uterine muscles and the entire pelvic area. This is beneficial in pregnancy as it helps to prepare for labour and also encourages efficient contractions during birthing. Drinking raspberry leaf tea in the last trimester of pregnancy helps to prepare for the memorable and emotionally supportive delivery of a new bundle of joy. In preparation for birth drink one cup daily during the last two months of pregnancy and freely during labour. For the organised, make ice cubes, as these are particularly refreshing in case of lack of thirst. Raspberry leaf tea can also help with the expulsion of the afterbirth post delivery and will help to restore uterine and reproductive health and help to promote the flow of milk whilst breastfeeding. What the NHS says about Raspberry leaf… NHS recommend if you decide to take raspberry leaf tea, it’s recommended that you start when you are about 32 weeks pregnant, though not before. This will give enough time for it to build up in your body. Begin with one cup a day, gradually increasing to three cups. This power plant has the reputation to ‘tone and strengthen’ in preparation for labour. The Raspberry leaf nutrients are beneficial to women during pregnancy and believed to help strengthen uterine muscles, tone the pelvic floor and encourage efficient contractions in preparation for labour and birth, also helping to decrease excess bleeding postpartum. Myrtle & Maude Raspberry Leaf tea…. Our raspberry leaf tea is 100% Organic, its nutritional value is thought to encourage breast milk supply. Many women continue to drink the tea after childbirth to help restore the reproductive system and help nourish the new mother, harnessing nature’s power to gently nurture you and your bump. Back To The Future or the Curse of the Billy Goat?
Yes, the Cubs clinched a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2008. Yes, They beat the Pirates in the National League wild card game. Yes, they clinched the NLDS against the St. Louis Cardinals. Now, they only have to beat the Mets to make it to the World Series. But there's something more to the Cubs' run for the World Series. As @LizArnone have mentioned in her card, "The Cubs Have Been Destined To Win The World Series Since 1989". In Back To The Future II time traveling Marty McFly ends up in 2015 with a holographic news story blaring the Cubs have just won the World Series. Thats something that hasn't happened since 1908! So can Back To The Future II beat break the famous Curse of the Billy Goat? The Curse of the Billy Goat was placed on the Chicago Cubs when Billy Goat Tavern owner, Billy Sianis was asked to leave the World Series game against the Detroit Tigers at Wrigley Field because his pet goat's odor was bothering other fans. As he was leaving the game, Sianis said, "Them Cubs, they ain't gonna win no more." And yes, the Cubs haven't won a World Series since 1908 nor have they been to one since 1945. The Cubs have been amazing this year so far under the leadership of manager, Joe Maddon. Even though they're two games down in the NLCS right now, they still have a chance to make a comeback and appear in their first World Series since 1945. But wait. Did you know that the goat that was forced to leave along with Billy Sianis was called Murphy? And.... Daniel Murphy, the hot-hitting Mets infielder, who was also the NLDS MVP when the Mets faced the Dodgers, hit a monster home run against Cubs' ace Jake Arrieta. Coincidence? Well, I'll leave it up to you to decide! Who do you think will come on top on this one? 1. Back To The Future II 2. The Murphy Brothers: Murphy the Goat and Daniel Murphy
I'm Ashamed of My Hometown
San Diego, get your shit together. Each year at the Padres stadium, Petco Park, the LGBT society in SD holds an event called "Out at the Park" that is meant to bring the community together for an evening of baseball. This year, Petco Park really, really screwed up. The San Diego Men's Gay Chorus was meant to sing the national anthem before the game to represent the LGBT community for this event. Their voices were never heard. The stadium let them take the field, and then as they were about to sing, a recorded female voice instead sang the anthem (which, if you've been to a Padres game, isn't something that happens - we always have live singing) The men had to walk off the field hearing people shouting profane, homophobic things at them. The Padres said it was a mistake, a technical error, a third party contractor, and that they were sorry. But that doesn't explain the other examples of mistreatment. Days prior to the game, the Padres organization told the performers that the chorus would have to pay for their tickets in order to sing. This is not something that happens, ever. If you perform the national anthem, you get to enter the park for free, DUH. Why did the Padres suddenly want this now? That would have cost the small organization thousands of dollars, and after dispute they were finally allowed in as performers. You can listen to their great voices here when they performed in 2015. It's a pity their voices weren't heard this year. Get it together Padres, you're a disappointment in baseball but don't be a disappointment to your entire community.
To my sports fans...
I said this in a previous card, but I want you all to know that I don't think I'm going to be able to be on Vingle as much, at least for now. I am in my last semester of college right now and really need to focus on my studies as I finish my degree... plus... you know... that job search that everyone talks about! I've had so much fun being involved with all of you over the past few months through the MLB playoffs (how great were those Mets!?!?), EPL and NFL seasons - culminating with the Super Bowl next week! I know this community can be an amazing resource for everyone and I hope you all continue to share ideas, thoughts, favorite plays and players and games and everything else that I've seen go on here recently. You guys are the best! Thanks for reading and commenting on my posts!
