Other than the completely over-powered pistol in Halo: Combat Evolved, the Needler is probably one of the more iconic weapons of the series. And it looks like NECA Toys has made a top-notch (see: expensive, see: 300 dollars) replica.
And no matter how much the cost, oh man does this thing look awesome.
In the video above, Tested shows off the NECA Needler in beautiful fashion. They compare it with a Replica that they made themselves. And it's kind of awesome to see them run through all the functions. It's a lot larger than I imagined but I guess that just goes with me not understanding the size of Master Chief as a person. Is he a person? I don't know.
Seeing the Needles go down as you pull the trigger is probably one of the coolest things I've seen a Halo toy do, but it also reminds me that if I decided to buy this thing, I probably wouldn't use it at all. I mean, it's a good little doohickey to have when people come over for the first time but other than that, I don't see any other use for it.
Unless you're a die-hard Halo fan, maybe you might need this sitting on your mantle so people know you mean business. I've left a short video below that shows off the functions of the toy without all the talking if you just want to get straight to business. Now, I have to figure out a way to justify paying 300 dollars to have this thing.
