I promise this will be the last DIY project in my animal obsession phase (see this card and this card if you haven't experienced my obsession yet). This are memo holders are adorable and great for adding some flair to your living space. This DIY tutorial comes from the great people at Sugar & Cloth.
For this project, you will need:
-- Plastic animals (you can find these at a toy store)
-- Alligator clip
-- 1/8 inch dowel rod
-- Drill and 1/8 drill bit (or a ice pick and a hammer)
-- Spray paint
You can find most of these items at a craft store.
Poke hole in animals
Use the drill (or the ice pick and the hammer) to make a hole in the plastic animal. Don't poke all the way through the animal.
Create the memo holder
Dab a bit of superglue on the hole of the animal and then stick the dowel rod in the animal. Let the glue dry completely. Then, dab a bit of superglue on the top of the dowel rod and attach the alligator clip to the end of the dowel rod.
Spray paint the animals
Use the spray paint to completely cover the animals and memo holder in paint. You may need to do a few coats of paint to make it completely opaque. Let the paint completely dry before using.
