Can we just give a big ol' round of applause to @kpopandkimchi for her endless ideas???
Kimchi has challenged the K-Drama community to post a card about 3 dramas I would want to recommend to a K-Drama beginner.

So, you just started getting into the K-Drama world? WELL WELCOME TO THE NEVER ENDING PIT OF GREATNESS.
Here are my three choices that I think you all will really enjoy:
1. Reply 1997
Watch this if you enjoy: Friendship or ensemble casts, cute little mysteries, LGBT representation, Korean pop culture (I recommend if you aren't super well versed in Idol and Korean culture of the 90s to read DramaBeans recaps while watching), and Korean Idols (Eunji of A-Pink, singer Seo In Guk, Hoya of Infinite, and JiWon of Sechskies are all main characters)
2. It's Okay, That's Love
Watch This If You Enjoy: Amazing chemistry of the two main leads, shows that deal with mental illness, ensemble casts, crying for long periods of time, psychology, gorgeous human beings, a more sarcastic and dry wit, avoiding the love triangle trope (the main couple has problems other ways but trust me it is worth it and they are perfect), very real and flawed characters
Watch This If You Enjoy: suspense, action, reporter's chasing stories, amazing love stories, very intense and well-written plot and background of plot, AMAZING LOVE STORIES, ensemble casts, beautiful human beings (Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young and Yoo Ji Tae are just ridiculous), AMAZING CHEMISTRY BETWEEN EVERYONE, strongly written characters, very lovable side characters, heartbreaking villians
HOPEFULLY IF YOU ARE TRYING TO BREAK IN TO THE K-DRAMA WORLD THIS HELPS!
FEEL FREE TO TAG SOMEONE IF YOU THINK THEY WILL ENJOY ANY OF THESE DRAMAS.
