The Memphis Grizzlies took exception to a (now-deleted) tweet from the LA Clippers following the Clips’ loss the Golden State Warriors earlier this week.
The Clippers threw some quick shade at Memphis on social media stating “#didntloseby50 on Twitter.
Per the Commercial Appeal:
It wasn’t enough for the Clippers’ official Twitter account to simply post the final score of their game Wednesday night at Golden State, but they added “#didntloseby50.” […] The Clippers followed a 112-108 loss to the Warriors by mocking the Grizzlies’ recent franchise-worst defeat. Memphis was pummeled 119-69 by Golden State earlier this week in Oracle Arena.
Courtney Lee: “It’s childish. We took our L and we kept it moving, right? We lost by 50. We didn’t cry over it, and went on to the next one. Apparently, they’re holding on to it. That’s what they got to do to overshadow their loss. Last time I heard, a loss is a loss. But that’s what they do over there.”
Do the Clippers owe Memphis an apology for that tweet? Was that in poor taste or are the Grizzlies thinking too deep about this one?

Clippers, as organization, has been a bit douchy. DeAndre antic. Doc's comments. Etc. They shouldn't have put that hashtag. That's just shots fired. Clippers were lottery teams few seasons ago. You don't see cavs or gsw boasting about stuff (or in this case calling out other teams) even when losing

Yeap they def need to apologize. That was uncalled for. It was low of them to tweet something like that especially when the Grizzlies had nothing to do with their loss!
