Happy Veterans Day!

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to all the Vinglers who are military, who were in the military, or have family in the military.

19.3 million people in the U.S are veterans. And that's not including the veterans all over the world. Congress made it an annual observance in 1926, a national holiday in 1938 and named the day Veterans Day in 1954.
Veterans day also marks 97th anniversary of the end of World War I.
@LizArnone wrote a lovely card defining what a veteran is to her. And I have to say I agree, Veterans are Heroes!
Military life is one that is full, but sad sometimes. It is deeply personal because I grew up as an Army Brat. Moving with my family from base to base. My father was deployed a lot of the time so it made time we had with him very special. He is retired now and officially a veteran. I had to deal with a lot of change- moving from one place to the next every 2 years. I had to deal with a lot of tragedy within the community, as some of my good friends lost fathers or family member overseas. But I gain a lot of support, a lot of love, and a lot of pride.
I also have a giant military family. I had a grandfather who was in Navy, a cousin in the Airforce, and now my brother in the Army. I'm pretty proud of the men in my life and their service.

And I'm proud of all those that have served in the military.

Thank you! To all those in the military, military spouses, and military families! You all are wonderful people!

Shoutout to my Vingle buddies @ButterflyBlu @InPlainSight I appreciate you both for being fellow military kids.
Tag your military friends and family below and give them a big shout-out! Happy Veterans Day!

Hats off to all our veterans. I might not know what it really feels to have a father that is in military but i really admire their love and fervor for the country. To leave your family to fight for the war is such a noble act. As what general Luna said freedom cannot be obtained by protecting their families, one should go out and fight for that freedom. We must on our own little way continue what they had started.
I hold each and every person serving or who have served dear to my heart. a bigger place of course goes to the disabled vets and soldiers. they have gone through so much and over come so much to be forggoten. thank you to every single vet and troop. male and female. you are certainly loved by many. love to my SO whom served his country proudly.
