It's been awhile since I've used Vingle. Haha My last card was about training for a 5K. The 5K was really fun and it was great going out there and running. But after doing the race I completely lost motivation to continue running and working out. I became really lazy and gained a few pounds. I've been watching what I eat and I'm at an okay weight. I'd love to get back to running and working out. Does anyone have any tips on how they motivate themselves to keep up with their workouts?
Cross training is definitely a good idea. But if you want to keep up with running, I would recommend setting a different goal whether its a better time for your 5k, longer distance, or a different form of running (mountain trails, obstacle courses, etc)
I feel this! It's really hard to stay motivated. I go in and out all the time. Don't be so hard on yourself! You got this, take a break and figure out what your priorities are :)
Other is I diet hardcore....I dont micro or macro count...I love food. so chicken is key too me..but I have learned so many ways to make chicken the way I like it:)
Im a really big fitness freak...ive ran marathons...half marathons...and now training for a physique competition. My key things i did to stay motivated on my off days were. Music! I use Beats headphones because they block out all sound and i can focus. 2. I take daily pics of body. sounds lame, but i make a monthly slide show so i can look at the progress pic by pic. 3. while im running or lifting. I do this lame thing where I talk myself up saying motivating words to myself ha.
Just gotta do it and not think about it. But I understand where you're coming from. I have been struggling for a bit. But I don't think it's a lack of motivation for me. Try to find something else that might be fun. Maybe cycling, hiking, swimming, pole dancing, hip-hop dancing, baseball, ect.
