Jimmy Fallon is constantly all over my social media feeds. He's been an 'it' comedian for well over 15 years now, and as the host of 'The Tonight Show', it seems he's only getting hotter - especially with the unique music numbers and silly games he's able to plan with the various guests we've seen on the show.
We've watched his career for quite some time, but do any of us really KNOW Jimmy Fallon? Here are five facts I've been able to pull up about him that some of you might not know!
Jimmy used to want to be a Catholic priest.
Far before his comedic aspirations, Jimmy attended a Roman Catholic private school in Brooklyn, where he participated in weekly mass as an altar boy for many years. Inspired by this, young Jimmy often thought about becoming a priest himself!
"I just, I loved the church. I loved the idea of it. I loved the smell of the incense. I loved the feeling you get when you left church. I loved like how this priest can make people feel this good. I just thought it was – I loved the whole idea of it."
Jimmy was voted Class Clown of his high school.
Jimmy attended Saugerties High School, where he was known as 'nice and well-mannered' by the staff and faculty, but voted the senior class of 1992's 'Class Clown' for his wild antics and hilarious celebrity impressions.
Jimmy and his wife own a dog named Gary Frick.
Gary Frick is a female English cream Golden Retriever who often appears on the show. They first met Gary when she was used for a 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' sketch (where she played a politician named Gary Frick), and when he found out she was up for adoption, he brought her home!
"I was like, 'I'm gonna surprise my wife and give her a dog, which is not a good thing to surprise your spouse with. It's like saying, 'Here, here's something you have to take care of for 12 to 15 years! And it's in training!'"
Jimmy got a mole surgically removed from his hand in front of a live audience.
Well, I think it's safe to say that 'Dr. Oz' was more like 'Dr. Odd' on THAT day. (Cue the canned laughter. I'm sorry. I'm not a comedian. Jimmy is, though.)
As his popularity climbed on 'SNL', Jimmy had the opportunity to model for Calvin Klein back in 2001.
Granted, he's not nearly as naked as Jamie Dornan was in his - but then again, Jamie Dornan WAS an international male supermodel. Jimmy? Yeah, not so much.
