Pro tip: This is a combination shot with the camera in the same location on a tripod with a 3-hour long exposure to get the star trials in the sky, with the sheep shot on the much short exposure 60th second. It is better to use remote controlling shutter speed for this shot since your hands would not still for long exposure shot. The Brecon Beacons have won the status of the International dark sky reserves- the 5th in the world to gain the accolade from the International Dark-Sky Association. The site joins Mont Megantic in Quebec. Exmoor national park in Devon, Aoraki Mackenzie in New Zealand and the NambibRand nature reserve in Namibia. Galloway Forrest Park in Scotland is an "International dark sky park".
