Goodbye boring doors! Hello to doors that are decorated for the season so your guests will instantly feel welcome when they come over to your place to visit. This is a great project for decorating your door for fall! This DIY tutorial comes from the wonderful people at Tried & True.
For this project, you will need:
-- Acorns (a lot) — you can find these outside your living space
-- Grapevine wreath
-- Hot-glue gun and hot-glue sticks
-- Burlap fabric or burlap ribbon
-- Gold spray glitter (optional)
You can find the majority of these items at a craft store.
Apply acorns to wreath
Use the hot-glue gun and hot-glue sticks to glue the acorns onto the grapevine wreath. Cover the entire wreath with the acorns. Use caution when using the hot-glue gun — it's incredibly hot and can burn you easily (speaking from experience).
Spray some glitter on the acorn wreath (optional)
Use the gold spray glitter to add some flair to your acorn wreath. This step is completely optional — it's just up to you if you want to add some extra flair to the wreath.
Add a burlap ribbon
Take the burlap ribbon and make it into a bow. Then, dab a little bit of hot-glue to the top of the acorn wreath and attach the burlap bow to the top of the wreath. Let the glue completely dry before putting the wreath on your door.
Put the acorn wreath up on your door and enjoy!
