David Hasselhoff has been making ladies of every generation swoon for the past four decades. He's been the star of many a hit TV show, the author of a couple books, and has recorded a number of memorable cover songs - wait, you didn't know?!
Yes, it's safe to say that David Hasselhoff has become quite the household name in the United States, but this week, he took to YouTube to announce something huge -
His 'household name' is changing.
Introducing the new and improved David Hoff! (He's like the old Hoff - but 'hassel-free'!)
Yes, according to David, it's time that he move away from his years as David Hasselhoff, world famous casanova slash lifeguard slash walking parody of an 80s soap opera hunk, and continue forward creating a new path for himself under a brand new stage name:
"I look at that as part of my past and part of a glorious past that made me a ton of money and opened up the world, and everybody wants to take it and change it and make fun of it. That's their prerogative. But I'm all into bigger and better things."
With that being said, I wish the new and improved Hoff 2.0 all the best of luck, and now I want to know:
What do you think of this move? At 63 years old, is it a little too late for a new name and a career revival, or can you get behind the brand new 'David Hoff'?
