Apple Will Pull the Plug on Beats Music at the End of the Month
All good things come to an end.
Apple has officially announced that they will pull the plug on the project on Nov. 30. Beats Music users were greeted with the following support message today:
Beats Music ends on November 30. Your subscription will be cancelled, but you can move your picks and preference over to Apple Music right now.
All the pros that curated music for you are still crafting more amazing experiences. Plus, on Apple Music, you’ll get even better recommendations based on music you already listen to and love, 24/7 global radio with Beats 1, exciting material from your favorite artist and more.
Beats music originally launched in January of 2014 and enjoyed early success, having been named the top app on iTunes by April. But once Beats was bought by Apple in a landmark deal, Apple developed plans to launch its own streaming service, which ultimately became Apple Music.
I loved the direction Beats Music was taking, but once they became apart of Apple the service just lost steam. I wish we could have gotten to see how far they were going to take the platform.

Yikes, that was fast. Well, you win some you loose some. I feel like iTunes probably absorbed this so they could move forward with their own iTunes music. What do you think @DroPuenteAG93?
