I Can't Deal With Fandoms {The 5th GAON Chart Kpop Awards'}
So I'm just making this card for the people who missed this award show, I started watching it at 6:00am for me. Somehow my body knew this award show was on and woke me up. I catched the last half of the performances but I couldn't help but be disgusted by the live chat beside the video. There was so much negativity, I literally couldn't even bear to look at the chat. But before I get into that, I want to show you guys who performed and what rewards they received. B.A.P "Wild, Young & Free" First of all the intro was so good I almost fell out of my bed. So B.A.P of course performed this song and killed it. They all looked good esepecially Youngjae's contacts and Himchan's hair. They won the "Hot Trend Of The Year" award along with Baek Ah Yeon. Red Velvet "Automatic" and "Ice Cream Cake" I'm so glad Red Velvet performed both of these songs because they are both of my favorite songs by them besides "Dumb Dumb". They did a great job with the performance. They won the "Hot Performance Of They Year"award. Zion.T "Yanghwa Bridge" I'm so glad he performed this song because I can't get enough of it, it is so good. His voice is just perfect both live and recorded, you can't even tell the difference. He won the "Discovery Of The Year R&B Award". Mad Clown "Fire" and "Sour Grapes" He won the "Artist of Year" during January. AOA Cream "Heart Attack" and "I'm Jelly Bean" They won the "World Rookie Of They Year Award" *this is the time where I started watching* IKON "My Type" and "Dumb And Dumber" Aside from the 15 dabs Bobby did in this live performance this performance was alright. The background music was a little to fast for them and they struggled to catch up but they did good overall. They won the "Artist of The Year" for September and "New Artist Of The Year" along with GFriend. SEVENTEEN "Mansae" and "Shining Diamond" Seventeen surprise me with this performance, it was unique they way they introduce themselves and really worked for them. They won the "World Rookie Of The Year" along with AOA. Taeyon "I" My girl Taeyeon did great with this performance and it was so beautiful too. She won the "Artist Of The Year" for October Zico "Boys And Girls" Of course this bias wrecker had to perform as well and "Boys And Girls" are one of my favoirite songs by him. He won the "Artist Of The Year" for November Vixx "Chained Up" I got so happy when I saw N's sassines in this live performance. The remix of this song is always good and Ravi just destroyed my life like always. His shirt didn't come off in this performance which is kind of bittersweet but thier performance was still great. Which might explained why they won the "Hot Performance Award of The Year". This is where the fandoms wars start to erupt in the live chat, So in each block will be some comments other fans said about their group or other groups....WARNING YOU MAY GET MAD AT SOME OF THESE COMMENTS!! BTS "I Need You" and "Dope" BTS killed their performance and they look so good in their classy suits. They won the "K-Pop World Hallyu Star Award". I was partially glad when BTS performed because I thought that would stop the wave of BTS comments but instead it made it worse with fans saying "That wasn't long enough", "BTS needed more time", and they also made insulted the other performers as well. I got so tired of seeing BTS in the comment section that I just started to ignore the live chat. EXO "Exodus", "Call Me Baby" and "Love Me Right" EXO left a path of destruction that killed me and my ears. It was so good although I think they could've had better mics because we could barely hear them. They won the "Artist Of The Year(album)" for the first, second and fourth quarter and the "Fan Vote Popularity Award". Sehun also recieved the award "Weibo Star Award". Now EXO fans were totally inappropriate with comments like... -"This is boring, Big Bang is winning all the awards" -"They(Big Bang) look like beggers on stage." And many others that were horrible. Big Bang "Bae Bae", "Bang Bang Bang" and "We Like 2 Party" Big Bang killed it but is that really something new...They all look so good and happy and of course Seungri had to do another Sehun moment with a member of Super Junior. I'm so glad they were enjoying themselves. They won the "Artist Of The Year" for May, June, July and August. They also won the "YinYueTai Most Influential Group in Asia Award". But the sad part about this is that their fans in the live chat were arguing with other people. They were the worst in the live chat. Comments included stuff like.... -"Exo has no quality on their work" -"Exo rappers can't rap worth nothing" -They even said that EXO had the worst live performance. Again this is not all the negative comments I saw in the chat. Besides the negative comments that I saw during the show everything was awesome and I will continue to watch this award show the next time it comes on. A Vibrant Outburst with Rocket Punch The moniker Rocket Punch embodies the group's goal of introducing bright colors and changing everyday activities in a monotonous setting. A Celestial Miscommunication Although there haven't been many problems with Rocket Punch, Juri was chastised for using the name of an ancient band called INFINITE on an episode of JTBC's "Idol Room." Some individuals found this statement disrespectful, especially because INFINITE's Nam WooHyun was present. Victories and accomplishments Rocket Punch has garnered numerous honors for its exceptional talent and dedication. They gratefully accepted the "Female K-pop Singer Award" at the Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards in both 2020 and 2022.
