Did you know you can recreate a spa facial in your own home – for as cheap as free, and as easy as 1-2-3...4? (Dang it, that was so close to rhyming! -___-)
This DIY facial consists of four simple steps for glowing, healthy skin:
And best of all, everything you need is already in your kitchen (or bathroom) cupboard!
Step One: Exfoliate
Baking soda! I got baking soda! Do you got baking soda? Good, so use it as a gentle natural exfoliant! Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a small amount of milk or water to form a paste, then gently massage all over your face (except your eye area) in a circular motion for a few minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Step Two: Steam
Wet a washcloth under hot (but not scalding) water. Wring out, and then let it sit on your face for a few minutes. Repeat a few times for best results. This will open up your pores and detoxify your skin, getting it ready for step three.
Step Three: Mask
Choose your favorite DIY mask, or treat your skin to some thick, creamy moisture with a Homemade Greek Yogurt Mask. Mix a few tablespoons of Greek yogurt (full fat, if you have it) with a teaspoon or two of honey and a squeeze of lemon juice. Apply liberally to face and leave on for about 20 minutes. Wash off with warm water.
Step Four: Moisturize
Rub a small amount of coconut oil all over your face and neck. Smells divine, and keeps your skin soft and supple! Feel free to apply some to the rest of your body while you're at it. ^_^
I hope you have a lovely and relaxing time with this homemade spa day~ ^_^ This card was inspired by Hello Natural!
