Aaron Rodgers denounces anti-Islamic fan

The Green Bay Packers faced the Detroit Lions on Sunday Lambeau Field.

The Green Bay Packers star quarterback was not happy by what he heard during the pregame moment of silence dedicated to honoring the victims of the terrorist attack in Paris.

Led by Commissioner Roger Goodell, the National Football League paid respects to the victims of the terrorist attacks.

The league has not held a league-wide moment of silence since 2012 when the Sand Hook Elementary shooting happened.

Watch the video above. Rodgers said,
"I must admit, though, I was very disappointed with whoever the fan was who made a comment that I thought was really inappropriate during the moment of silence. It's that kind of prejudicial ideology that I think puts us in the position that we're in today as a world."

When asked what the fan had said during the moment of silence, Rodgers declined to answer.

Whatever the fan might have said, I personally think it was totally unnecessary and inappropriate to interrupt a moment of silence. Thank you Aaron Rodgers for bringing this up publicly.
@straighshooter, I don't think you understand the point that I was trying to make with that comment. I did not say that our law system shouldn't need proof. Obviously that is how it works. (It's something I am pretty familiar with considering I was in school for pre-law and married to a cop that was murdered. I'm sure I'm familiar with it.) That was Not the point, though. I wasn't aware that we were discussing our judicial system. I WAS, however, trying to get Both of you to think about how we treat EACH OTHER as humans. I was stating that this is the world we live in and then asking if because of this world, should we have to prove every single word that comes out of our mouths or we are all automatically liars? When did switch from "innocent until proven guilty" over to "guilty until proven innocent"? This is the logic that YOU laid out earlier. Please keep that in mind. To confirm, I am talking about how we TREAT one another in day to day life, NOT about our judicial processes. Let's flip this back around to yourself. If you were raped, or your daughter, but you/she had no proof, would you simply not believe her? Would you say to her, "too bad...until you can prove it, it didn't happen!" Let's say she can't provide proof for a while, or even at all. What then? No sympathy? No belief? Nothing whatsoever? For the record, I HAVE been in this situation. I WAS raped. I was a junior writer and he was one of the editors of the gaming/tech site that I wrote for at the time. He had quite a fan following, too. So guess who was believed... it wasn't me. I did have to prove it. However, it took time to subpoena the video from the place where it happened. During that time of waiting, a third party, someone who knew him personally, took to her blog. She posted all about the fact that her "favorite gaming guru" was being persecuted because "some whore (me) was screaming rape" about what HAD to be "consensual sex". (See, because she found him to be attractive, and she saw no proof, I just HAD to be a liar.) For almost a year, I had men and women telling me almost daily that I was a liar, simply because they thought he was a "cool guy". I was called all sorts of names and treated like *I* was the one who did something wrong. Sorry to break it to you, but that is Not okay. (And, Yeah, I've watched it from the other side, too.) Whether the offense is rape, child abuse, or bullying, whatever, we should try being a bit more compassionate and understanding. I would rath...
*sigh* Wow. Hi Michael! @mchlyang *waving* How are you today, sir? Need popcorn? I'm going to point out something very simple. We are taught to treat others as we wish to be treated. This country has really lost hold of that these days. We only want what's okay for our personal selves or beliefs. We expect people to believe US but we won't give THEM any credit whatsoever. What happened to compassion and love in this world? Don't tell me "oh well they started it" or "I don't have to because it's a different world today". What happened to being the person you'd want others to be? So he says he heard something. Whether there is proof or not shouldn't matter. Maybe he heard it muttered from a teammate or coach or freaking water boy. WHO. CARES. That is not the point whatsoever. The point is that a moment of respect was asked for and he felt that someone stepped on that. I guarantee if someone stepped into your churches (any church, any religion) and started jeering - during prayer, learning, silent reflection, whatever - you'd darn sure want your offenses to be respected. Instead, we yell "prove it!!" Smh. What's wrong with that picture? Does it end there? No, because this is our world today isn't it? A woman is raped and we make HER prove it. A child is abused? Prove it. I was offended by someone. Guess I'd better prove it?? No matter which side of the fence you are on regarding religion, there is only one judge and jury when you step from this world. Depending on your belief system, you may call that judge by a different name, but in the end, how about you tend to your own soul? Instead of screaming and yelling and acting a fool, embarrassing your father of choice, and making yourselves look the OPPOSITE of what you claim your faith teaches, how about you tap into that compassion and learn to love again. Because, maybe I can't read, (spoiler: I Can) but I have read both of your sacred texts, ladies, and the way you are choosing to act is Not what is taught in them. I'm sorry if that offends you, but I warned people when I became a news mod to play nice. Have a great day!! ^.^
And our Vingle president, @InPlainSight! I am glad I chose you as the Vingle president. And I agree with you. I am glad he came out and addressed it. And even if we don't have proof, these kinds of actions could become preventive measures for the future just in case other fans decide to take inappropriate actions during moments like the moment of silence.
@nicolejb And after watching the Fox coverage of the game, I did hear someone in the crowd say "Muslims suck!" really loudly. It was pretty disturbing to hear someone say that especially during the moment of silence! And I am glad Aaron Rogers did mention it publicly.
Phew! Sorry to jump in here so late. Aaron Rogers is one of my favs, and I think this issue goes very deep, especially as of recent. this was just an example of a football payer setting an example, I don't think the guy got in trouble for his comments, right? anyway, I'm glad that there was a discussion on this. It's going to be a heating conversation over the next several month (and years maybe...)

Do's and Don'ts of Lottery Game
Who doesn’t want to win the lottery, everyone tries different tricks and strategies, some of them are successful and some of them are not successful in winning lotteries. The player should be aware of different things that can ruin the game and can lead to loss of money. There are different kinds of lottery games that will have different strategies to win. There are some simple tricks to win in games by obeying the common rules that losers never do. So, here are some dos and don’ts for winning a lottery. Let’s talk about Do’s first. This will help you to win the lottery better than tomorrow. 1 . Increase the chances by playing the right games at a time Playing the right game at the right time can increase the chances to win a lottery. Every lottery game has different strategies to spend money on it. Every game has some possibility at some level that increases the chances to win a lottery. By selecting a game that has good possibility can increase the chance of winning. Some lottery games have fixed possibilities and if there are many people then you may have to split the jackpot. So it is good to play a game that has a lower traffic level and good chances of winning the lottery. 2. Double your chances by playing second chance games You bought your tickets, and your ticket number didn’t show in the results, so you will think you lost but it’s not true. There are lottery games that offer second chances to players. This will give you a second chance to play again and so you can check lottery results back again after the draw. Few luckiest people won a big amount of lottery in the second chance of play so you don’t have to lose this chance. 3. Trust on your beliefs Just guess that, you are in the lottery area, another person just lost his winning so you will think that you will also lose because your ticket sequence and his ticket sequence were the same. But this is not true. Don’t distract him. You can also win the game by just concentrating on whatu are doing. 4. Protect your lottery tickets What happens when your number comes out after the draw and your lottery ticket is stolen just after that? This will be the silliest mistake. To secure the ticket you purchased, ju st do sign behind the ticket to make it proof that the ticket is yours. 5. Choose rare numbers to win big amounts It is impossible to predict what numbers will be chosen. Choosing a number that other persons have not chosen then it will give you a full amount of winning. But that does not work all time, you can give it a chance. But it's proven that choosing a rare number will probably land you a full amount of jackpot. 6. Select lottery tickets wisely Selecting a sequence of tickets and buying multiple rare columns of tickets can be more winning. Never select tickets randomly. If you select a particular sequence of tickets, then you can select the sequence that no one has bought before or you believe that the sequence you have chosen no one will buy then you can take a risk and buy those tickets in sequence. Now here is the Don’ts that you must know about it. 1. Lottery win should not be missed During the play of lottery games, people often concentrate on games but it’s important to remember the result date when they can know their winning or losing. 2. Don’t take a risk without having a job Playing a lottery game is a risky game, no one always wins, and no one always loses. Buying lottery tickets is costly and if you lose the game then it's more costly. So, if you have a stable income then you can start taking a risk in lotteries. In these games people always win who buy more tickets, more tickets comes from more money, and to get more money, you need a stable job. 3. Don’t play lotto if you are spending too much money on a luxury To win the lottery by Playing it needs money but to increase the chance of winning lottery games you need more money and will have to buy more tickets. So, if you are the type of person who spends too much money on your fun and luxury and extra things then it’s not for you. It is only beneficial if you have enough money to spend on risky things. 4. Don’t choose numbers that others are choosing In the lottery games, everyone wants to win but not all know which sequence of number tickets to buy then they fall in the wrong direction and copy other player's ticket numbers. This can lead to the loss of the lottery and money. There is no idea why other players bought that sequence number of tickets only so don’t depend on others. Believe in your thinking and go-ahead buying tickets with your planning. 5. Never tell your ideas to others During the gameplay of lotteries, everyone just focuses on it and they become over-excited about winning the lottery and they don’t think about the future. They tell ideas and strategies to other players in excitement and you know the result. Other layers can use the same idea and can steal your winning jackpot. 6. Don’t be in over-excitement during gameplay During gameplay, if they are near to win or they have won, don’t be overexcited, Never. There are sharp eyes. Everyone is a detective, everyone probably knows who’s winning and who’s not. Others may try to copy your strategy and this can lead to loss of you. So always act like a normal person. Control your emotions. So here are the dos and don’ts that will help you to win the lottery. Lottery games are not predictable but there is a chance to win the lottery if you sincerely follow some strategy explained above, that will definitely help you to win the lottery.
NFL Dads Tackle Hair Styling In This Pantene Campaign.
Every year, major sponsors shell out some serious cash to grab our attention during the Super Bowl, by far the largest single sporting event of the year. They enlist A-List celebrities, bust out the CGI, and have the ability to transform a typical 30-second spot into a minute long movie of epic proportions. However, if there's one thing that these companies can learn from haircare brand Pantene this year, it's that turning on America's feels doesn't have to be that complicated - just bring in the adorableness of some NFL kids! Pantene's 'Dad-Do' Super Bowl campaign features a number of popular NFL fathers taking a stab at styling their daughters' hair with Pantene products. Like you could probably guess, they definitely struggle through it, but with some adorable encouragement from their daughters, the results are very much 'aww'-worthy. (My personal favorite is pictured above: DeAngelo Williams of the Pittsburgh Steelers versus his daughter Rhiya's braids and bows.) Benjamin Watson, tight end for the New Orleans Saints, displayed some pigtail game earning an impressed high five from his daughter, Grace. (He tried to argue that bigger hands make it hard for athletes to style hair, but he didn't do too bad for a first-timer!) The Dallas Cowboys' Jason Witten's adorable daughter Landry was SUPPOSED to get a braided ballerina bun, but let's just say there were some complications on the way. (Hey, if there's anything the Cowboys learned this season, it's that you can't win 'em all!) Click the video above for a look at the finished 30-second Super Bowl ad, or visit Pantene's official YouTube Channel to watch the full styling videos from each athlete. So how do you think they did? Was this concept just as adorable to you as it was to me? Let me know in the comments below and for more trending videos from across the web, follow my YouTube Nation collection!
