Why do YOU run?

What gets you motivated to lace up your sneakers and hit the trails (or the streets, the boards, the treadmill – wherever you like to jog)? Everyone's got a different reason (or heck, reasons plural) – it's whatever keeps you motivated to keep getting back out there, even when it's raining, or you're tired, or you'd much rather be sitting on the couch.
Here are a few of my personal reasons for running; feel free to share yours!

I run...

Because it makes me feel strong, powerful, and confident in my body.

To spend more time outdoors, and connect more deeply with nature.

Because even the slowest jogger is still lapping everyone on the couch! (Or really, lapping the ME who would've hypothetically been sitting on the couch.)

For the strong, sexy legs I'm building ;)

(That's TED speaker, former Paralympian, model, and actress Aimee Mullins, by the way. Her inspirational story is definitely worth reading more about.)

For the increased energy, better quality sleep, and happiness it brings me :)

Because it makes me feel like a badass >:)

Why do you run??

I'll write a card about lifting weights ^_^ ...awesome card by the way! Running isn't my favorite, but I can't deny that it makes me feel really good after I do run.
To run from the cops..........
running makes me feel good as Well as I want to run as fast as Cristiano Ronaldo lol
Awesome @XavierLopez I'm the same way. I like knowing I can do a little more each day. It makes me feel like, not just in running but in every area of my life, with steady persistent effort I can achieve anything!! :D
I like to run for the thrill of it! I try to challenge myself to run a little farther to keep pushing myself.
