It has happened to the best of us.

If you've ever used Tinder and matched with a handsome guy just to find out you have absolutely no common interests, you won't have to worry about that anymore. Tinder has come to the understanding that people want to match with people who share their interests -- obviously. Tinder made it clear on their blog this weekend that they will be making it easier for two people to match by changing the matching algorithm on the popular app. So, now it will be much easier to find that guy who is obsessed with Gotham just as much as you happen to be. You'll also now have the ability to add a bit of personal information including your job and education background, but I personally think that's taking things a bit far. Save that bit of information for once you go on the first date -- if it leads to that.
According to The Washington Post, "matching algorithms are pretty much pointless, citing a 2012 paper from Northwestern University where study authors say that having a good relationship with someone depends on so many things the algorithm couldn't possibly know, such as what kinds of hang-ups you have about relationships, in-person chemistry, and your health or wealth status." Although Tinder has it made up in their mind that these new algorithms will produce a love chain, there's really no telling. I guess only time will tell. If you're like myself and you'd given up on Tinder, maybe it's time to download the app again and see what good may come out of these changes.
