Aaron Rodgers isn’t injured, so what’s wrong with the Green Bay Packers quarterback?
After a 6-0 start, the Packers have lost three straight starts with Rodgers at the helm for the first time since 2008, his first year as a starter. Here are three reasons the reigning NFL MVP has struggled.
1-No Jordy Nelson
This is the worse-case answer and one that cannot be fixed this year as Jordy is out for the season. The loss of Pro Bowl receiver Jordy Nelson has created a trickle-down effect. His ability to make big plays down the field opened up a lot of things for everyone else on the offense. He is surely missed in this unit in 2015.
Rodgers claims he loves having his longtime quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator Tom Clements as his playcaller but at the moment the offense is struggling across the board. Eddie Lacy has lost his pop and Rodgers is having trouble breaking big plays. Outside of the lost of Jordy Nelson, this is the only major change on offense. If this is the issue, this could be tinkered with and fixed before you know it.
3-Possible off-field issues?
Sometimes when watching athletes on the field we forget they are people. At times, it can be hard to separate work from your everyday life. Aaron has been a pretty low-key guy in regards to his private life since day one, so we have no idea what if it is a family issue at the moment.. but it's possible.
