There is no rule that says wreaths have to be made from leaves or Christmas trees. Shake up the wreath norm with this pinecone wreath. This DIY tutorial comes from the wonderfully creative people at I Heart Naptime (also, how awesome is the name of that blog?).
For this project, you will need:
-- Wire hanger
-- Twist ties
Form the hanger into a circle
Form the wire hanger into a large circle — you can easily do this with a little strength from your hands. If you need a little extra help forming the circle, grab a pair of needle-nose pliers to help you.
String twist ties through the pinecones
Take the twist ties and string them through the middle of the pinecones. They should stay in place easily because of the form of the pinecones. Repeat this step for all of the pinecones.
Attach the pinecones to the hanger
Take the pinecones with the twist ties and wrap the twist ties around the wire hanger that is in a circle. Continue wrapping the twist ties around the wire hanger until the cricle is completely full of pinecones.
