How cute is this geometric jewelry tray?! This will keep your jewelry organized in a cute and chic way. This DIY tutorial comes from the wonderfully creative people at Brit + Co.
For this project, you will need:
-- Air-dry clay
-- Acrylic paint (make sure it works on clay)
-- Rolling pin
-- Paint brush
-- Masking tape or painter's tape
-- Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
You can find these items at a craft store.
Form the clay shapes
Use the knife to cut the blocks of clay into geometric shapes, as shown in the picture. Then, roll out another piece of clay for the tray. To form the tray, turn up the sides of the of the piece of the clay. Allow the clay to dry completely.
Paint the clay
Place the masking tape or painter's tape at a diagonal on the tray, as shown in the picture. Also, place tape on the bottom of the geometric shapes. Then, use the paintbrush to paint the acrylic paint on the shapes and the edge of the tray. Let the paint dry completely. Then, use the hot-glue gun and glue sticks to attach the geometric shapes to the tray. Use caution when using a hot-glue gun!
Put your favorite pieces of jewelry on the tray and enjoy!
