Grownup Rugrats have quite a dramatic story behind them.

Most people think that it would be really neat to see the Rugrats in a grown up new life however that will never be the case. Rugrats Storyboard Eric Monlinsky has recently published a personal essay as to why he hates any grown up Rugrat fan art and that it'll never see the light of day.
“If we ever drew the Rugrats as being too cute, our executive producer would scold us. So no. The Rugrats did not grow up to be fashion models or self-confident hipsters. Especially not Chuckie," Monlinsky
During Monlinsky's time as a storyboard artist, he revealed that he was constantly pressured by executive producers to make the characters as average and "lumpy" as possible.
"It really bugs me. Not the quality of the artwork, but the interpretation. We referred to them as lumpy babies for a reason. They grew up to be average if not slightly lumpy looking people — just like their parents," Monlinsky corrected.
Below are the true grown up images of the hit Rugrats characters respectively all grown up as the artist would have wanted. Take that executive producers!
