We made it weird Marvelers.
This week was a fun experiment! Instead of doing a traditional mad lib... I went backwards. The bolded words are parts of speech that you all had me add to the story! Here it is:
Bruce and Tony were chilling in the Avengers Tower last weekend when they heard a really strange kerfuffle [synonym]. Bruce yawned, checking his pizza watch [noun & noun].
"Bit late for that, wouldn't you say?"
Tony chuckled cheerfully [adverb].
"Nah. I told the kid he could stay up past his bedtime if he agreed that Trek is better than Star Wars [proper noun]."
Bruce rolled his eyes.
"You're a terrible role model."
"I also gave him coffee [type of liquid] and candy!" Tony grinned like a maniacal genius. "You know how much kids love candy."
Just then, Miles, dressed in half of his Spidey suit [noun] [editor's note: it's up to you which half] bounced into the room. His eyes were wide and he looked really really excited. He had firework sprinklers in both hands [effects] and zero chill.
"HEY GUYS." He was not using his inside voice. "I JUST FOUND THIS COOL THING IN THE LAB I THINK IT'S A LAZER GUN [weapon] AND I CAN'T FEEL MY TONGUE AND ALSO HAVE YOU SEEN THAT SHOW DOG COPS I'M PRETTY SURE THEY DESERVE A DAYTIME EMMY."
He was panting by the time he was finished. Bruce and Tony just stared.
"You don't say," Bruce finally said. "That's nice Miles."
"I'M GONNA FIND SOME CRIME TO STOP."
Miles ran for the door, nearly losing several fingers [body parts] as he closed it behind him.
Bruce glanced at Tony.
"There's like ten million [number] things that could go wrong with that plan. Shouldn't you like... babysit or something?"
"Nah." Tony grinned. "It's my night off. I told Natasha to tail him. She'll keep him out of trouble."
Bruce winced, scratching his foot [body part].
"What did you have to do to bribe her into doing that?"
"Eh." Tony shrugged. "I promised you'd do her dishes for a month. And bake he a pie. And some nachos [food & food]."
"Why Tony. Why."
Tony clapped his hands.
"I'm in the mood for science! Let's to something science-y Bruce! Maybe I'll blow up something exciting. Like a platypus [animal]."
"I feel the need to remind you, I am not a medial doctor," sighed Bruce, trailing slowly [-ing verb & adverb] after him.
Yup... we made it weird.
