How freaking adorable are these candy turkeys?! If you want a cute dessert or snack for Thanksgiving day, this DIY project is perfect for that! This DIY tutorial comes from the wonderful people at Our Best Bites.
For this project, you will need:
-- Candy corn
-- Reese's cups
-- Yellow icing
-- Chocolate icing
-- Red frosting (optional)
-- Black sprinkles (optional)
You can find all of these items at a grocery store.
Attach candy corn
Spread a small layer of chocolate frosting in the middle of the Oreo. Then, place candy corns with the pointed part down inside the chocolate frosting in the middle of the Oreos.
Attach the base of the Oreo turkeys
Put a small amount of chocolate icing on the bottom of the Oreo and attach it to an Oreo base, as shown in the picture.
Cut the Reese's cup
Use the knife to cut off a small side of the Reese's cups, as shown in the picture above.
Put on the body and the head of the Oreo turkeys
Put some chocolate frosting on the Oreos and place the cut Reese's cups on the base of Oreo and then add the Whopper's to the top of the Reese's cups, as shown in the picture above.
Make the face on the turkey
Place a small amount of yellow frosting for eyes and place a black sprinkle on the yellow frosting. Then, place a small amount of yellow frosting for the beak and then place the small white part from candy corn on top of the yellow frosting.
Add feet and the wattle to the Oreo turkey
Make the feet of the turkey by using yellow frosting. Add the wattle of the turkey underneath the beak by placing some red frosting there.
Set out the cute Oreo turkeys out for Thanksgiving and enjoy!
