Miranda Lambert has finally opened up to the media about her life following the recent divorce between herself and fellow country superstar, Blake Shelton. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Lambert let all of her emotions out.
"Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try," Miranda started.
Since the divorce, Shelton has already moved onto a new relationship with Gwen Stefani which has been openly accepted by the media. Lambert has been slightly swept under the rug as old news with very little press on her well being until now. No one has any insight as to the main reason behind the divorce so it ultimately remains a mystery. Though Shelton has found a new fling, Lambert isn't looking to date or get remarried anytime soon.
"I had a great relationship with an amazing man," the 32-year-old says, "so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted. Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, ‘Man, this sucks right now.’"
For now, Lambert tells Cosmo that she's primarily focusing on her music and that's all we need to know. Ultimately, she's pulling through thanks to her music. It's her getaway.
"I feel the sexiest when I’m in my element, which is playing music," she admits. "It doesn’t really matter what I’m wearing necessarily or where I’m at, just on stage with my band playing music is sort of where I feel like I belong and that makes me feel sexy."
