Today, planning for vacations and travelling to other countries for adventures is the last thing on an individual's mind. As the COVID-19 has already claimed more than 274,000 lives around the world, nations are afraid to allow foreigners into their land. There are strict travel bans both inside and outside the state to prevent further outbreak. Citizens who are away from home are advised to stay abroad and return only if the flights are available. Moreover, doctors and medical experts are continuously advising to stay indoors and practise coronavirus preventive measures. Roughly, around 10 million people have cancelled or are in a state of cancelling their travel bookings due to the rising pandemic. On the other hand, airlines and hotels do understand their concerns and are ready to cater to their requests. COVID-19 and Air Travel One of the worst hits by the recent worldwide outbreak is the travel and tourism industry. There was a drop in airline bookings when a hundred cases evolved to thousands in just a few weeks. In case of a non-refundable ticket, only taxes will be credited back to the debit/credit card that was used for purchase. In some cases, cancellation fees may also apply. · Cathay Pacific Cathay Pacific has waived the cancellation fees in light of COVID-19. Flights that were booked before/on March 23, 2020, with the travel period between March 17, 2020, to June 30, 2020, are eligible to ask for a refund/change. However, it may take 45 days for the refund to get processed. · American Airlines For bookings made March 1, 2020, to May 31, 2020, American Airlines waived off the change fees for all future travels. But the wager is the traveller has to begin the journey within one year of the original ticket. Moreover, this is only applicable on non-refundable tickets. COVID-19 and Hotels Just like airlines are waiving cancellation and change fees, hotels around the world are also trying their best to accommodate their customers. Here are the world’s best hotels with their revised policies. · Alila Fort Bishangarh Reservations that are made on/before April 1, 2020, with the arrival date any time before/on June 30, 2020, can be cancelled/changed. This is only applicable if the request is placed prior to the arriving date. · Marriot Hotel All existing reservation holders can request for change/cancellation of their bookings through June 30, 2020. They do not need to pay the change/cancellation fee as well. · Rosewood San Miguel de Allende If the cancellation/change of a reservation is informed 24 hours before the arrival date, no fee will be charged. This is only applicable for bookings made between March 13, 2020, to September 30, 2020. However, for reservations made before March 13, 2020, can rebook without a fee up to 12 months from the original booking. · Aranwa Cusco Boutique The hotel allows full changes and cancellation of reservations if the arrival is before/on June 30, 2020. To be eligible for the free of cost cancellation/change, one needs to inform 24 hours prior to their arriving date. Japanese Sake Has Amazing Benefits For Your Skin
No worries, you won't get tipsy. If you enjoy a few shots of sake every now and then, you'll be excited to know that the warm drink actually has some amazing benefits when it comes to your skin. They even go as far as bathing in the wine on New Year's Day to rid themselves of evil spirits. According the SK-II's, they use an ingredient in their skincare line called pitera ["derived from a strictly controlled natural fermentation process"] which is a strain of yeast found in the sake. How amazing and interesting is that? It's becoming a trend to find skincare products that happen to be infused with this all natural ingredient and the results happen to be amazing. If BTS Were in Boys Over Flowers
Now, I think there are a lot of things wrong with the plot of BoF (mainly the boys treat Jan-di like crap) but its still funto imagine it as a less problematic drama. Here's who I'd cast! Gu Jun Pyo - Suga The leader of the F4 and heir to the Shinhwa Group, one of the biggest companies in South Korea. He is hot-tempered and believes that there is nothing that money can't buy. Though he's unable to express his feelings, deep down, he has a heart of gold. He torments Jan-di after she stands up to his bullying ways, but ends up falling in love with her and will do anything to protect her. Yoon Ji Hoo - V A member of the F4 and the grandson of a former president of Korea. He has a driving phobia after being involved in a car accident that killed his parents and left him the only survivor. He is initially in love with his childhood friend Seo-hyun, who helped him overcome his social anxiety. Calm and gentle, his musical talent catches Jan-di's attention and she begins to develop feelings for him. So Yi Jung - Jungkook A member of the F4 and a skilled potter. His family owns the country's biggest art museum. After losing his first love to his brother, he becomes a Casanova. He eventually changes his playboy ways when he realizes that he likes Ga-eul. Song Woo Bin A member of the F4, his family runs the country's largest construction company, which Woo-bin later admits has strong connections to organized crime. However, he has excellent business sense and is very charismatic. He's a super nice guy that happens to be a gangster lol and of course RM, Jin, and Jimin are the dad, mom, and little brother :) How would you cast BOF?
Chocolate Chip Cookie Shot Glasses
In honor of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, here is a deliciously fun way to get your chocolate chip cookie fix during happy hour: Chocolate Chip Cookie Shot Glasses! And in case you think I am making this holiday up, you can find it , and a ton of other national holidays that will blow your mind at National Day Calendar online. This 4 1/2 star recipe comes from All Recipes user, Nicole Faust Hunt, called "Absolutely The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies." To make the shot glasses, you will need a 'popover' pan. Otherwise, you can make these using small cupcake pans. However, the shape of the glass will not look like a shot glass. Ingredients: 1 cup butter flavored shortening (not butter) 3/4 cup white sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons Mexican vanilla extrac t2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 cups milk chocolate chips Chocolate candy melts (for later) Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the pan. In a large bowl, cream together the butter flavored shortening, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla .Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips. Press the cookie dough into the popover pan bottom and sides. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until light brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Separately, melt the chocolate candy melts in a microwave or a double boiler. Once the cookie shot glasses have cooled, spoon in the candy melts, covering the bottom and inside cookie walls. This will harden relatively quick, or you can put it in the fridge. This coating will prevent liquids from being absorbed into the cookie. After this is all done, fill these with milk for the 20 and younger crowd or click here for imbibery goodness that you can fill your chocolate chip cookie shot glasses with!
8 K-Dramas With Bittersweet Endings
Bittersweet Ending: The ending is happy but also sad at the same time! This card will contain spoilers for all the dramas mentioned! [365: Repeat the Year] Our character's do get a happy ending because they all live but at the same time it's sad. Hyeongju is successfully able to return to the past and reset which means all of our characters who previously died (killed off by our resident serial killer whom I won't name for spoiler reasons) are alive again. This includes Hyeongju's new best friend Gahyeon, however, because she did not reset as well she no longer remembers what happened in the previous reset (for those who have not seen this drama the reset is only going into the past year but only those who went through the reset remember the future they've already lived through.) So, because Gahyeon who died in the previous reset and therefore was unable to go through the reset with Hyeongju no longer remembers the process in which her and Hyeongju became friends. [Circle] In the ending of Circle we find that Woojin our main character died in the past and has been replaced by a clone. His twin brother cannot accept this at first but later comes to terms with it. So, while we do not get a happy ending for the real Woojin there is still some peace and happiness because his clone remains in his place. Sadly for Minister Park we do not get to see his character learn to move past his flaws and he dies this way. [Children of Nobody] Depending on how invested in the characters you were you could also find this drama's ending to be tragic. In this drama's ending we find out our loveable character Eunho is the serial killer we've been searching for the entire drama. The part that makes this drama's ending so bittersweet is that it's really hard to hate or dislike Eunho. He was abused as a child and still holds a child-like mentality but because of all that he has endured he's took it upon himself to kill those who abuse children because he was abused himself. Sadly he is shot to death by our main lead Jihyun because Eunho was trying to kill our female lead Wookyung whom had been in an abusive childhood home herself. Eunho was stuck in an unhealthy mentality thinking that in order to be happy she needed to die, almost like he was doing her a service by killing her. Though in the end we do see the serial killer being caught we also lose Lee Eunho, someone who while yes is a murderer is also someone very innocent. Eunho also was never given the proper treatment he needed, I think had someone tried to help him long before he reached his breaking point he could've been saved. [Duel] Again like above it kind of depends on how invested you were in the characters. I know a lot of people favored Sunghoon over Sungjoon. (For those who did not watch this drama here is a little back story: Sunghoon and Sungjoon are twin clones of a doctor who died in the past named Dr. Yongseop. Sungjoon is the good clone, while Sunghoon was the bad one of the two.) In our bittersweet ending we sadly have to say goodbye to Sunghoon, whom was bad the entire series but in the end he was bad for a good reason (like Eunho above) though this doesn't necessarily give him a pass to kill people. Unlike Eunho who didn't get the chance to, Sunghoon rights his wrong by killing the main bad guy which helps Sungjoon and the others out tremendously. It was sad that Sunghoon had to die to get us a happy ending though! [Extracurricular] There are three different possible endings to Extracurricular and each one of them leaves you with a bittersweet taste in your mouth. First we will start with Ending #1, at the end of the drama after being stabbed by Kitae, Jisoo and Gyuri rush off to the stairwell where Jisoo falls and tells Gyuri she should go on without him, however Gyuri does not want to leave him. In the first ending scenario when the female officer finds the spot in the stairwell where Jisoo and Gyuri were neither of them were there. This ending alludes to both Jisoo and Gyuri living and avoiding jail. Which means that yes they do both live and escape but they do not pay for the crimes in which they've committed. So, while being probably the most favored ending it still leaves you with the sadness that they will always have to be on the run and will probably never have a normal life. Ending #2, the female officer arrives in the stairwell only to find Jisoo there, meaning that Jisoo decided to turn himself in but Gyuri decided against this and left him there. This ending while partially being happy is still sad because Gyuri's character did not grow, she did not stick with Jisoo, she remained all about herself and did not pay for the crimes she committed unlike Jisoo would. Ending #3, the female officer arrives and both Jisoo and Gyuri remain. While this is also not an entirely happy ending since the both of them would be headed to jail, they are still paying for their crimes and may some day be released from jail to live a better life. [Extraordinary You] In this drama our main leads get to meet again as extra characters in a new manhwa and are able to remember what happened in the previous manhwa. However, us as viewers are left with a bittersweet feeling knowing that our main couple will forever be stuck in a repeating cycle of manhwas and in future manhwas risk the chance of not being drawn by the writer or erased entirely. [Remember: War of the Son] Our main leads do not get a happy ending as a couple because our male lead suffers from Alzheimer's. But his father is cleared of his crime and the real killer is behind bars so nonetheless the ending we are given is still a happy one. [Reunited Worlds] In this drama our male lead Haesung is given a second chance to live and appears before his family and Jungwon, the girl he loves once again however, he's still stuck in his teenage body while everyone else has aged 12 years. Thoroughout the drama we slowly realize that Haesung is disappearing again but he's brought his estranged family back together again. Though we lost our male lead again we can rest assured that his family and Jungwon are in good hands now.
