This is a great DIY project for adding some chic flair to your home or living space! You could also easily make this a great holiday-inspired decoration by making the flowers red and green or blue and silver. This project is also great for decorating your reception space for a chic wedding! This DIY tutorial comes from the great and inspirational people at Green Wedding Shoes and Smitten on Paper.
For this project, you will need:
-- Large butcher paper
-- Pencil or permanent marker
-- Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
You can find most of these items at a craft store.
Draw and cut out a spiral
Take the pencil or permanent marker and draw a large spiral on the butcher paper, as shown in the picture above. Then, use the scissors to cut on that line that you just drew all the way to the center of the spiral.
Glue the spiral together
Curl the spiral into itself, starting at the outside and finishing at the middle, as shown in the picture above. After you have curl it into itself, let the paper unravel a little bit. Then, take the hot-glue gun and dab a bit of glue inside of the flower on the bottom side to keep it all together. Use caution when using a hot-glue gun!
Fluff out your flower
Pull the petals of your flowers out a bit to help fluff out your flower. Repeat these steps with different-sized spirals to make multiple flowers.
Attach to your walls of your living space and enjoy!
