Even though Gaara considered himself to be born monster, and hated himself for taking the life of his mother. His uncle told him that his mother love was in the sand. but in the end he told him that his mother never loved him. and that's some real messed up shiz to say to a child. Later in war, He met his father, who always viewed him as a threat and a object of war.But in Rasa's last moments he told Gaara that his mother always loved him.
"To them I'm simply an object from the past that they wish will disappear Then why do I exist? Why am I alive? When I thought about this I could find no answer. But as you live you need a purpose otherwise it's the same as being dead, I then came to this conclusion I exist to kill every human besides myself. Fighting only for yourself living while only loving yourself. If you think that everybody else simply exist to allow you to experience that feeling, nothing is better then that world. As long as there are people in this world for me to kill and continue to feel that joy of living my existence will not vanish."
This statement explains itself, Even though Naruto and Gaara lived different lives. They share the pain and suffering from those that hurt them or try to. Loneliness is painful feeling, and it can destroy you mentally. Even though Naruto had a dream, a goal to look forward to. Gaara went down a darker path. He couldn't trust no one, not even his siblings, he could only kill to make him feel alive
